I think the book is great and the movie was just the book in script and played out, its just because it goes against religion in the biggest way that the movie would get bood. Damn those French people!!!!

Has anyone else read the book? I noticed Bre mentioned that it's fairly simplistic, which is something I've heard a bit, too - almost that it's almost too simplistic, and the book isn't that well written.
And has anyone also read Angels & Demons?

I wouldn't say it's too simplistic, and it's very well written, in my opinion. And Angels and Demons is just as good as The da Vinci Code, I think.

A lot of people seem to prefer Angels & Demons. And I think it sells almost as well as The Da Vinci Code does now, even if it is just after the latter's success.

So I don't remember who here is a fan of Dan Brown's novels, but his new book The Lost Symbols is coming out in September, I believe. I've looked everywhere for a synopsis, but haven't found anything. I think I remember reading a long time ago that it has something to do with Mozart, but I don't remember for sure. Anybody else heard anything?

I've heard that it's got the same character from Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. My grandmother is a big Dan Brown fan and I think she said it has something about the Freemasons?

I haven't read them. Since I'm not a religious person would it be hard for me to follow? I'm not entirely sure what they're about....

I've only read The Da Vinci Code by Brown and I enjoyed but not enough to read all his other books. Though I am interested in reading Angels and Demons. Haven't had the chance to read that yet.
I might read this one if it's good. I'm not too fuss about his books.

Yeah, Liz, Langdon is the main character again. And Bec, you don't have to have religious knowledge to enjoy the novel. It explains everything you need to know. I recommend his books to anyone, religious or not.
