She did force him into it, he expressed doubts and she told him off for it. She also neglected to tell them about any repercussions from the spell, putting them all in danger. I agree with Glenn, Willow after season 4 is ruined.

I feel debates coming on..
Willow. I loved Willow in all 7 seasons. And if she did "force" Xander into bringing Buffy back to life, hell I'm glad. I'm sure if Xander really didn't want to do it, she wouldn't have black-magicked the crap out of him just so he'd do it. I do believe Xander wanted Buffy back as well as the others.
I loved Willow's character growth throughout the whole series. I loved that we got to see a dark side of the nice, sweet, innocent nerd that we hadn't seen previously. Because if that's all we ever saw, I'd be bored out of my mind.

I agree with Bre. Willow was interesting and watching her grow up and go through all these different transitions in life kept her very much 'willow-y'. She wasn't ruined, she was growing up.

Most people when growing up dont turn out quite like that.
Plus she showed them sides to her character long before season 6
Willow should have gone to jail at the end of season 6 for murder

Spike as a vampire couldnt have gone to jail. Faith however was hunted down by Buffy who was determined to make her go to jail Buffy also handed herself into the police in season 6 after she thought that she had murdered Warrens ex girlfriend. Willow however had this literal get out of jail free card, sure she showed remorse but what is that, that isnt punishment. Its good to know the right people i guess

Oh geez Glenn...
Yeah, most people aren't vampires or slayers, oh and I'm pretty sure I haven't seen any demons running around lately. It's a TV SHOW!! Of course people aren't gonna go all "black magic" and killing people, but that's why we call it fiction.
So should have Warren. I'm pretty sure some people deserve death over jail time. And I believe he is one of those people.

Warren did go die, so he couldnt go to jail. Willow murdered. Even murdering a murderer lands you in jail. Which is where Willow should have gone

Willow-related question: Do Buffy and the others know Willow killed Rack... the warlock?

Dawn saw Rack's floating dead body

I'm sure Dawn told Buffy. But they probably didn't want to mention anything about it.

OK should Willow have gone to jail - maybe. By human law. But people in the Buffyverse don't always go by human law. Giles was never held accountable for killing Ben. Faith went to jail because she needed to redeem herself and possibly couldn't have done it on her own - plus the police would never have let her go. Buffy turned herself in because of her own conscience. Willow accepted help to redeem from Giles and the witch coven in England.
But yeah she was annoying in season 6.

In season 6, I'll admit her behaviour did piss me off, but then again, she was living the life of an addict and that makes you do some crappy things. I think she sunk to her lowest point after Tara's death. But I was glad Buffy and the gang re-accepted her in same time, same place. ;D

I loved Willow throughout all the seasons. I probably posted this, but I'm too lazy to look. I understand why ppl think Willow was kind of out of character in s6, but people change. If she would have stayed the same nerdy willow since season 1, I probably would have gotten sick of her character. The innocence thing is only interesting for a little while.

I don't think Willow was out of character in season 6, either. Willow's transformation into "dark Willow" was on the cards ever since she started tinkering with magic. It got the better of her, and she went through a downward spiral, especially after Tara's death. But at her core, I don't think the character changed.

I worship Willow in all her incarnations. At the beginning of the show she was such a great archtype for a nerd. Then as the seasons progressed we see her ambitious and needy desire for respect and approval wax and wane but never totally go away. Willow always had difficulty finding a balance between her curiosity and her sense of right and wrong. Even at the start of the show she was a fairly accomplished "hacker" as it were. She was even encouraged in this persuit by her most prominant adult role model (Giles, ). And yes, time after time she was warned about magic to one extent or another by just about everyone (right before they asked her to do a spell for them). I also think it's great that even when she's super evil and looking to kill all kinds of people, including her friends, she's still got a quirky personality and is having a good time. I love Willow. Also, she's adorable

Willow changed so much. I don't see this as a bad thing, though - she got older, and obviously you'll change. I liked season 6 Willow as it was such a contrast to season 1, nerdy Willow. She's a complex character.

I've just finished rewatching season 6. I think this is my third time watching the season but it's the first time that Willow annoyed me throughout the season. When I first saw Willow challenging Giles when he confronted about her raising Buffy from the dead, I thought "Whoa. She certainly came out of her shell." But now, when I watched it again, I just think "How dare she disrepect Giles." Does anybody feel the same way? Did Willow annoyed you in season 6 or is it just me?
