When I first watched the pilot I wasn't all that excited by it, it took me another episode or two to really get into it.

I can't remember the first episode I watched but I know it was around season two when Angelus was released. I thought what a werid show and didn't bother watching it til Season Three- then I was hooked.

Have you gone back and rewatched season 2? If so, has your opinion on those episodes changed?

Yes I have gone back and re-watched them like years ago on FX. My opinion has changed. It's what made me love BtVS even more. Go figure.

It's interesting how opinions change like that when you have a little more context.

Yeah, I know! That's why I make a rule to watch more then one episode when a new show airs.

Yeah, unless it's obviously and definitely terrible with no saving grace, I always give shows a few episodes.

As do I. Plus, the Buffy episode that I saw first wasn't terrible in the slightest, so I did want to go back and watch it. I just didn't really know when it was on 'cause I was channel surfing the one time I saw it airing. So I ended up waiting to buy the seasons.

I knew about it from the word "go". I'd read some stuff about it, heard it was good, so I was prepared for it when I saw that it was starting here.

When I first about the show, I thought "What a silly show to make". I didn't watch the show until, my mom borrowed a Buffy book for me to read. Hated it though because I didn't understand what was going on. So I gave the show a chance just to understand the book more and to see what the hype is all about.

LOL, Irene. I always thought the concept was cool - cute girl kicking vampire butt. I mean, how can you go wrong" I'd heard the show was actually good, and more than that, but upon watching it I really grew to appreciate the storytelling.

Well, instead of thinking "cute girl kicking vampire butt", I was thinking more "skinny, blond girl kicking vampire butt".

The first ep that I ever watched was The Gift, so I came in pretty late. I actually was introduced to the show by my Pap who had borrowed a tape that had this episode on it form his brother. After that I was completely hooked. For Christmas my pap gave me Season 5 on DVD and the year after that on my B-day he game me seasons 1, 2, 4, and 6, and my Mom gave me 3, and finally on the day that it came out I bought Season 7 myself. I can't really say if the Buffy movie inspired me because I had watched all of the episodes that had aired on TV before I even knew anything about the movie so when I got the movie and watched it, I was kinda disappointed.

"welcome to the hellmouth." heard about the show months earlier, caught it with my brother. We looked at each other after and said "yeah im totally watching next week". Fastforward to now, and it is and maybe always will be my favorite t.v. series and the only one so far that ive deemed worthy buying on dvd.
