I don't really put on Christmas music in my house. I only just hear them in shopping malls and on the TV. I don't like the whole cliche of putting Christmas music during the Christmas period.

Yeah because Christmas music clearly should be played at Easter.... or maybe mid April I watch maybe 20 minutes of the Carols in Domain or something. Thats about enough for me

Some years I'll have Carols in the Domain on in the background while doing other stuff, but it doesn't do much for me, to be honest.

Yeah because Christmas music clearly should be played at Easter.... or maybe mid April Well, I have Christmas music playing in Jan so does that count? Plus I hear some of my favourite Christmas carols all year round. ;D Besides, you hear Christmas music everywhere you go during the Christmas period. The last thing I want is hearing more of them at home.

The kids at Dylan's school sang 2 normal verses of Jingle bells and the chorus and then switched to the Aussie version, which I had never heard before! They only did the first verse of it and one chorus, but I found the rest of it Dashing through the bush, in a rusty Holden Ute, Kicking up the dust, esky in the boot, Kelpie by my side, singing Christmas songs, It's Summer time and I am in my singlet, shorts and thongs *
Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, Christmas in Australia on a scorching summers day, Hey! Jingle bells, jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut!, Oh what fun it is to ride in a rusty Holden Ute. *
Engine's getting hot; we dodge the kangaroos, The swaggie climbs aboard, he is welcome too. All the family's there, sitting by the pool, Christmas Day the Aussie way, by the barbecue. *
Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, Christmas in Australia on a scorching summers day, Hey! Jingle bells, jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut!, Oh what fun it is to ride in a rusty Holden Ute. *
Come the afternoon, Grandpa has a doze, The kids and Uncle Bruce, are swimming in their clothes. The time comes 'round to go, we take the family snap, Pack the car and all shoot through, before the washing up. *

I knew the first verse and chorus. The third verse is funny lol. I'd love to leave before the dishes get done

Ahh I remember singing that in primary school!
I'm liking the Taylor Swift and Colbie Caillat Christmas songs this year. Good stuff.

So my favourite Christmas song for the past few years has been It Came Upon a Midnight Clear by Sixpence None the Richer. It's probably the only Christmas song that I hear constantly during the Christmas period. That and Christmas Lights by Coldplay.

I started hearing them day before thanksgiving. I have been singing Carol of the bells around the house, Emily dances and claps & Steven holds his ears but I am hoping soon that home alone will come on tv lol.
