Season 2 premiered last night (or tonight for the U.S folks). Has anyone caught the episode? I haven't. Will probably do so tonight or tomorrow.

Haven't seen it yet but my brother saw it, he said it was an okay season opener.
He said he saw an unaired pilot and the 13th episode (also unaired) and both were awesome, have you seen those Irene?

I saw the 13th episode but not the unaired pilot. The 13th ep was interesting. It's bascially set in the future, showing the aftermath of what happened when the Dollhouse got exposed, etc. It was an interesting episode but not something I would see again.

Apparently the ratings for the premier were low and the ratings for the second episode (of season 2) were even lower so there is already talks about canceling it and putting House reruns on at that time (which they say would bring in more viewers).
I have yet to see any Dollhouse, but I'll probably rent it one of these weekends. Has the second season been interesting for anyone watching it?

I haven't seen any of the season 2 eps yet. I'm waiting for it to air on TV here. Since I'm already downloading GA every week, my net can't take me downloading DH as well. I would probably catch up with the eps when I go back home if I can't wait for it to air on TV. From the eps I've read about so far, it doesn't seem like I'm missing anything important so I don't mind missing them. I've heard about the low ratings and I think it's a bit premature to cancel it now. They should probably wait till mid-season at least. :-\

Dollhouse is on the Fox channel they are very trigger happy when it comes to canceling shows very prematurely. I saw the last episode and it wasn't all that great, I hate to say it to. The basic idea of the missions is getting tiresome and bland. However they haven't even dug into the main story of the season yet. Alexis Denisof and his very American accent sounded so weird to me

That's one thing I find boring about DH - the mission storylines. They should just get into the conspiracy already!

Agreed!. It is the behind the scenes stuff I love and since we only get like 5 or 10 minutes of it per episode it is hard to stay tuned!. Although Echo had an interesting experience after she was 'wiped' which was in the last five minutes but those 5 minutes were awesome .

That's why I don't mind missing the first few eps as I know we won't get into the meaty stuff till the later part of the season. I just hope the show stays around that long!

Well, FOX has come out and said that they will air all 13 episodes that was ordered. Whether or not DH will get a full season is another story.

If they have to come out and announce something like that, isn't a good sign.
I wonder what FOX would replace it with, reruns of something no doubt. Everything has started slipping recently, including the witty banter that only Joss delivers. Wonder how much editing goes on.

Yeah, it's just like in football when the board says that they have full backing of the manager but then he gets sacked the next day. Bre mentioned they would be replacing it with reruns of House so could be that. Apparently it's the DVR numbers that are saving DH from getting cancelled right now. :-\

Well, it was coming.
Dollhouse" is closing its doors at Fox. The network has canceled Joss Whedon's cult fave, which in May beat the odds with a second-season pickup despite low ratings. The sci-fi series, which is filming episode 11, is expected to finish its 13-episode order. After some dismal performance in the fall, despite the ratings bumps "Dollhouse" got from DVR viewing, Fox benched the show for the November sweep after four episodes. It is not clear if Fox will air the remaining episodes starting Dec. 4 as planned. (edit: all remaining episodes will air). "Dollhouse" stars Eliza Dushku as a DNA-altered woman who gets implanted false memories for various missions and tasks.
Joss' Reaction...
"Dollhouse" creator Joss Whedon on Wednesday shared his disappointment at Fox's decision to cancel the sci-fi thriller. "I don't have a lot to say," Whedon wrote in a post on Whedonesque.com. "I'm extremely proud of the people I've worked with: my star (Eliza Dushku), my staff, my cast, my crew. I feel the show is getting better pretty much every week, and I think you'll agree in the coming months. I'm grateful that we got to put it on, and then come back and put it on again." Whedon also addressed his plans. "I'm off to pursue internet ventures/binge drinking," he wrote. "Possibly that relaxation thing I've read so much about. By the time the last episode airs, you'll know what my next project is. But for now there's a lot of work still to be done, and disappointment to bear." "Thank you all for your support, your patience, your excellent adverts. See you again," Whedon said in closing.

Not surprised Joss should just direct the rest of Glee!

Not surprised either. But from what I've seen of Dollhouse (only three full episodes, though), I didn't care for it too much. I think Joss has the capability of creating something spectacular and I don't think Dollhouse was that.

I saw DH's last two episodes and I enjoyed them. The first hour more than the second. I thought I should start watching the eps now since the show is ending. I'm curious to see how it would end. Loved Summer Glau's character. Glad she didn't play the silent/crazy type - though this character was slightly off. And Victor being Topher was all kinds of awesome! ;D I definitly didn't guess that the Senator was a doll. That took me by surprise. But I was annoyed that he was. Every important character seem to be turning out to be a doll. It's boring. I hope Adele or Paul isn't a doll. Alpha is returning next week and I can't wait. I love Alan Tudyk as Alpah. He reminds me so much of The Joker.

I actually watched the double bill to and I must say I enjoyed it.
Summer was brilliant, she plays they strange characters so well I actually thought it was very similar to River & Cameron in SCC but that wasn't a bad thing I loved having her back on my screen!.
Both me and my Brother knew the senator was a doll I always expect the opposite in Dollhouse and it didn't really surprise me.
Looking forward to Alpha's return also.

I knew there would be a twist somewhere and I thought that twist would be the wife turning out to be the doll. I was thinking, "Is that all?" I'm intrigues about Caroline having connections with Bennett. Were they friends before Caroline was a doll? Slightly confused on that one.
