Much like the last dvd you purchased thread only, the first one. Dvd's hasn't been around that long when you think about it so most of you hopefully remembers your first one. (can't say I would remember my first VHS considering it's been around much much longer and my memory sucks ) So, what was it and does it have a story? My first was actually Buffy season one. I was so psyched about having a dvd and I didn't own anything Buffy related that I could watch so I bought the first season. I remember I couldn't wait for it to show up in the mail box and when it did I couldn't watch it right away because it was winter and the dvd's was sooo cold and I didn't want put them in the dvd right away, afraid I'd damage them. (I actually remember my second dvd too, which was Notting Hill

Eep, I don't know if I can remember what my first one was. I have a feeling that I got Mars Attacks, Scream 3 (which I since upgraded to the Scream trilogy box set) and Muppets from Space when I got my DVD player. But they could just be among my earlier purchases.

I remember my mum refused to buy DVDs for us at first, because they were waaay too expensive. $40 for a normal movie is ridiculous.

So, when people bought their first DVDs, were they favourite movies, or just what was available at the time? I know that when I bought my DVD player, there wasn't a huge selection out there.

So far three of us bought Btvs season 1 as the first DVD. noooo we're not fans at all *busted* So, when people bought their first DVDs, were they favourite movies, or just what was available at the time? I know that when I bought my DVD player, there wasn't a huge selection out there. I actually don't remember if it was because I was a fan that I chose btvs as my first or if it just was the first thing that popped out at me when browsing dvdboxoffice.com. I suffer from goldfish memory, I can't even remember what I had for dinner today

Oh wow. First? I've only had a DVD player for about 5 1/2 years but my DVD collection has grown very fast I actually think Buffy Season 1 was also the first DVD I got, I had the first 6 seasons on VHS (season 7 wasnt out yet) and as soon as I got my DVD player I started replacing them on DVD

Favourite movies. DVDs are expensive here so I only buy them if I really like the movie and they are worth getting it on DVD.

lol loads of us bought Buffy season 1 I actually bought a dvd player when I was 16 in order to buy the season 1 dvd. At the time I think the dvd player cost £100 and the dvd £40 and the only reson I could afford it was because I got money for passing my GCSE's, money well spent though

I remember when I first bought my DVD player, everyone was telling me it was a waste of money, and there is no way I'd buy many DVDs to make the purchase worth it. They were wrong.
