They'd have to be old stock cause they don't make them that way anymore.

I fail to see the excitement of Dawson. I also fail to see why anyone would want to admit to owning (or wanting) it, either. Uh huh. Shaun giving me shit about my Pacey love is one thing. I know he finds it torturous and thinks its dumb as, but he's joking around with me. Have you seen me ragging on you about your card game or your taste in movies? No.

I agree with Loz. Allan, you've done this in the music sections before too. Someone posting their collection of DVDs (or what they're currently listening to) is not an open invitation to criticize their choices.
There are plenty of things you like that I don't.

It was a joke, I didn't intend to offend. So apologies. And Liz, before you get on your high horse, I really suggest taking a look at the posts you've been making at my expense of late. Let she who is without sin cast the first stone, or something like that.

So how much does everyone thing they might have spent on their collection? I don't even want to think about it!

I really don't know. I did a quick tally on my collection and came to 570 + DVDs (with some missing), but working on 570 at an average of $30 each, it's looking at around $17,000 (I've been collecting them for a little over five years, but still... ). That said, I got quite a few cheap, and quite a few expensive "collectors" versions and imports, so it could fall short of that by a decent margin, or come over it. I think the former's better for my sanity.

OMG, you could buy a car with that! But, then again, you wouldn't have the DVDs...
A lot of my DVDs were presents, which is good.

Well my Buffy and Angel DVDs combined alone cost me... around $1100. Most were $50 each as I got them as they were released on DVD here but a couple I got cheaper. My other TV shows, together with the movies... yep thousands.

Mine is nothing compared to everyone else's. Though I have to now rearrange some of my stuff as I can't fit anymore DVDs on that top shelf. And yes, I have a system. Favourite TV fandom, then movies, then music stuff. ;D And I haaate that the packaging aren't uniform - especially for my Gilmore Girls boxsets.

It's annoying when that happens Irene. When there's a set, they should look the same

Yeah. I might replace season 3 with a region 4 one if I see it anywhere at a cheap price.

I don't like it when they don't match either. My DVD collection in my room: Top ShelfSecond ShelfThird shelf is just books and graphic novels. These don't fit on my shelf. These are my favorites. Lost two and four are being watched by my mom and me so they are missing. Along with my Office DVDs. Two and three are out and about. Those are all the DVDs that I own. We have more in the livingroom though. This is what the bookshelf usually looks like because I have no place for my CDs.

And here we go... Full picture Yep we've run out of room. The bottom shelf isn't being used because the kids pull them out. Bit hard for them to pull out the James Bond collection so that one is ok down there on the other side
