The first one was really good and had a great plot IMO, but this second one was just a snooze-/bore-fest. There was some good laughs, the humor was still in the same good place as the series and first movie but the plot.. or lack there off - horrible! I was bored out of my mind for the first hour and the second hour wasn't much better, albeit there actually happened something in that one. The movie should not have been 2½h, it could have been cut down to 1½h easily! I'm very disappointed because I loved this show and expected a lot more than what I was given

Even as someone who spent five years of my life studying film and the critique of it i can just enjoy something at the very basic level and this is one of those movies. I would have watched SATC2 if it was seventeen hours long basically Really, as long as i can spend time with those characters i'm extremely happy. And of course i just LOVE the shoes and the clothes (and Carrie's closet) ;D Was it the greatest movie of all time? No way. Did i love it and will i buy it the first day its out? Hell yeah

Anyone catch The Carrie Diaries?? I didn't mind it but I HATED the fact they have changed her past. In the show, Carrie's dad left her and her mum (no annoying little sister) when she was really young. She says herself it was the basis for some of her issues with men. How you change that to her mother dying when she was 15 and leaving her with a very involved and present father I don't know

I watched it. Didn't mind it and will definitely catch the next episode. It's funny because when I was watching it I thought to myself I better ask Loz if they were portraying Carries history correctly (since I never watched much SATC) .

They aren't at all no. But apparently The Carrie Diary books were written by Bushnell as well so i'm very confused

I'm enjoying the show - bit of a guilty pleasure - but yeah, very wonky timeline.

She's just not Carrie for me. Yes I have adored SJP since I was really little and Carrie is a shoe/fashion icon of mine so I'm totally biased, but ASR just doesn't have "it" IMO And WTF kind of name is Dorrit?!?! Hideous.

I'm actually getting into it... And while he is 12, that Sebastian is extremely cute Dorrit is still a pain in the ass.

You know, that's one show I've never done a complete rewatch of. Episodes pop up on FOX and FTA so often, and if I come upon them I watch them. Feels like I do a rewatch a lot
