I'm mostly watching for Japril now, but I don't think I will give up Grey's...
Yeah, seriously - this hospital has just been one huge mess from the time it was built, huh? How much younger than Mer is Maggie? Cristina said she was young, but she can't be too young. How old IS Meredith anyway? Time on Grey's is messed up. Each season isn't a calendar year. Somewhere I read said that season 1-3 is a full year (can't be bothered to re-watch to check). And she was a bit older when she started med school because she had travelling time with whatshername Australian girl. So I'll assume that she's...early 40s. (Derek in his 50s now? He was an established resident when she started her intern year..)
Anyway. My point is. Meredith might have been around 5-6 when her mother was pregnant with Maggie (assuming she is the daughter of Ellis/Chief). Did Meredith just not notice? I know Ellis wasn't exactly mother of the year, but surely that's something Meredith would have noticed. Or maybe she did, and has just filed it away into her dark and twisty mind - 'Mom was pregnant, but there was no baby."
And what about Thatcher?
Actually, what about Thatcher in general? Doesn't he want to visit his grandchildren?
Also what about Joe the bartender?

If memory serves it was established that Ellis took off for a year at some point. "Worked out East" or something like that. Irene? You'd know better than me. At least it will give Webber something to do. The only interesting thing he's done in awhile is almost die.

Didn't she, like, take a year off to write a book or something? I remember Webber mentioning something like that when he first asked Meredith about her mother. My guess is that she had her when Meredith was around 5 as well. 'Cause it was then when Ellis left Thatcher to be with Webber but he decides to stay with Adele instead. I don't know. I could be wrong. Grey's timeline is way messed up so I don't bother with these things. When Maggie was talking about her birth mother, I immediately thought it was Catherine and thus, her being Jackson's half-sister. I think that would have been more interesting. |

Have you watched the first episode, Irene? Decent first episode back. I want more Jackson though. I always want more Jackson Of course! Good ep back. My poor Owen though. He looks like a mess. I hope they give him a decent storyline now that Cristina's gone - and not just stick him with Chiefy stuff. Not a fan of the sister. Actually not a fan of this story on the whole. Mostly because I'm bored of Webber and with this story, it means more of him and I don't want that. Lol. Little annoyed they cut the Kate Burton scenes though. Also, am I the only one who felt odd which the ep without Cristina. I half expected Cristina to jump into bed with Alex and Meredith in the beginning or keep waiting to see what she'll say about Maggie. I miss her. |
