How can you love the Touched speech but not the things Angel says Beck. And calling it bollocks isnt very fair, she wasnt being a Cordelia, she wasnt picking on anyone. And i dont think he was just referencing the steps watching. He watched her first staking and the reaction it had with her parents and she looked so sad and hurt and very vulnerable. Also glad you added the "for entertainment" bit at the end there Bre Staring in at a young girl in the bathrom is even worse than watching her at school. Fair enough watching the staking - but then following her to her house and spying in on her again? Nuh uh. Talk about uber creepy peeping Tom. At that moment at school she was sucking a lollypop and saying "Call me, call me, call me." She didn't look very vulnerable or like she was wearing her heart on her sleeve. When Merrick approached her she was like "Huh?" Very pompom girl flaky chippy, not vulnerable girl with heart on sleeve. The Tounched speech may be a little corny yeah, but its in character with the romantic that Spike is. Angel saying things like he wanted to wrap his heart around hers are just *gag*

I'd like to pose a question for all of you. What did you think of Angelus/Buffy?
I actually like it better than Angel and Buffy. I know Angelus and Buffy didn't have a relationship exactly, but they had a ton of interaction. Angelus has a twisted obssession with her that I enjoyed for some reason.
So, what do you think?

It made for great storytelling. It was dark, and not very pretty, but it was gripping.

Like I said to Bre once on MSN, Angel tends to hold his beliefs above that of love unlike Spike. That is to say Angelus values evil so he cannot let his love for Buffy get in the way, in fact he uses it as a focus for his cruelty. As Angel he didn't let his feelings for Buffy interfere with what he was trying to do with Faith. Oddly enough that's kind of consistent.

I agree. Angelus was a master manipulator, and used love to take everything further.
