Yeah, that's a good point. Something I hadn't thought of.

No more one liners guys, don't post unless you're adding to the conversation please Faith would have killed Angelus in season 2 - that was before Buffy knew she could have Angel resouled and yet she still couldn't bring herself to kill him. Faith would never have had that problem. In season 4 she was after the capture, only because they were going to resoul him. Though they didnt need Angelus captured to do that :dunno:

No, they didn't need Angel captured to do that, but it made for interesting TV! I also think that once it was known that Angel could be resouled in Season 2, Faith would have still killed him, should she have thought that would be the best way to go about it.

With the topic of whether Faith should be forgiven floating about, does anybody have any further thoughts on her character?
Favourite moments, least favourite moments?

I also think in the interim they didn't want him to hurt anyone. At first Willow wasn't there so they were not sure how long it was going to take to re ensoul him. Every second he was out there he was a threat.
Anyways back to Faith. (I can't believe I haven't posted here)
I enjoyed Faith and Angelus' fight. What's interesting is that Wes tells Faith to be just as vicious as Angelus but Faith says she can't risk killing Angel after everything he's done for her.
Faith relates to Spike about her feelings of being dangerous and Angelus taunts her about her need to hurt others to stop the pain inside. She also tried to relate to Buffy in Santuary that there is a feeling of loss of control, where nothing makes sense and Angel certainly understands this, Angelus understands it and uses it to his advantage. He attempts throw her off by saying she enjoys being an animal. Is this right?
Faith certainly found violence addictive. She instintually hits Buffy in B&tB, what's up with that? She also hits Angel in Sanctuary and fantasizes about hitting him even though she's trying to help her. She's not thinking of this because she hates Angel, it's violence itself which Angelus states Faith needs.
Back to fight Angelus hits her and taunts and Faith finally starts fighting back and apparently with vigour. It seems that Angelus is right at this point. She seems to be losing control like she's done before or maybe Wes is right and she's adopting his tactics.
However it was all a ruse to get Angelus to bite her. This is something amzing here. She is willing to risk her life rather than risk Angel's.

I agree about her finding the violence addictive. It's all linked to her going for the adrenaline, which we saw as far back as her earliest appearances in Buffy season 3.
She was willing to risk her own life over Angel's, and to me that showed two things. Firstly, she's rehabilitated herself and is fighting, once again, for the greater good.
Secondly, that rehabilitation was thanks to Angel. Granted, she wanted to rehabilitate herself, though back to the violence addiction, she couldn't let herself to do it - like a junkie trying to give up the drugs - and it took Angel to get through to her. She owes him, and she knows it. I'd say that of the Jossverse characters, Angel is the one she's closest to (and not in a slash kind of way).

Faith is one of my favorite characters because she's so complex (and tragic, I love that). Also very very hot. She's had a hard life and it's made her hard but now she knows what being one of the good guys means and wants to be that (I think she always wanted to be that but didn't know how. Look at the way she acts when she switches bodies with Buffy). I think Faith will truly try to earn her redemption for the rest of her life but I also think at heart she will always be a rebel and I expect we might see that in the comic. She's also VERY hot!
