A lot of people loved this relationship, me included. However, I hated what happened with Oz and Veruca . Anyway, my question is: Do you think the relationship was doomed after Willow cheated? Was Veruca at least some sort of pay back? After all, Oz brought up Xander after Willow found Veruka and him together.

Well i dont think t was payback. Oz doesnt really bring the Xander thing up as in "Well you cheated on me with Xander so i thought i would get some myself" When she mentioned how it felt to find him like that he says he remembers how it feels.
I wasnt happy that Willow claimed what her and Xander did didnt campare to what Oz did. Cheating is cheating, her and Xander were going on for a while. This was another negative in the Willow column for me

It definitely wasn't pay back, it was animal instinct pure and simple. Oz was stupid to lock Veruca in the cage with him, knowing what would probably happen when he was unable to control his actions, however better that than Veruca killing people, yes?

I agree, Beck. However, Oz was pretty stupid about the whole thing with Veruca. He made it so obvious, and I know it was instinct but still . I know that it definitely was not intended to be a pay back, but maybe unintentionally? Oz is a smart guy, and he handled the situation badly. Plus, mentioning Xander after it happened was questionable too. Why would he bring it up?

I think like Glenn said merely to remind Willow that he remembers what it was like to feel that pain, but he did forgive willow, it goes to show that forgiving and forgetting are two completely different things.
Oz did the only thing he could, Oz must have knew what would happen when he locked Veruca in his cage with him, but he realised saving peoples lives was more important.

I wonder if Oz thought about if Willow would forgive him? And if Willow had not come, would he have told her?
Plus, couldn't Oz of stopped the problem earlier, instead of waiting for the last minute?

Oz would have told her, he was never the keeping secrets type and would have felt too much guilt. As for him thinking about whether Willow would forgive him - I think he was more thinking about the people Veruca might kill which he thought more important. As for bringing up the Xander thing I don't think he did that consciously, she mentioned how she felt and he commented that he remembered, almost to himself.

I love Willow and Oz. Next to Bangel, these two are my favourite couple. #heartpump# I prefer them over Willow and Tara. ;D
I was disappointed that Oz cheated with Willow. I don't think it was payback because I believe that Oz truly forgave her for what she did with Xander and he didn't hold a grudge anymore. It was just the werewolf in him that made him to go to Veruca. I just wish he had told Willow about his attraction to her. She might have helped him.
But on hindsight, would Willow have understood and proceeded to help him? Honestly, I don't think what he did with Veruca was intentional. I don't think he wanted to cheat on Willow. He killed Veruca for her! I think it was more his werewolf side driving him towards Veruca more than anything else. I doubt Willow would have understood that. I think she would just see it as him cheating on her - he wanting to cheat on her.
So maybe that's why Oz didn't tell her. That doesn't make it ok though.

I never saw it as payback and I don't think he brought up what Willow and Xander had done to be petty. I do think he could have foreseen the outcome and taken measures to prevent it. Willow/Oz is still my favorite Jossverse ship and what happened with him and Veruca pains me so very much.

I loved Willow and Oz's relationship, and was really disappointed when Oz cheated on her. But honestly, I don't think there's much he could have done to stop what happened. He becomes an animal, so he acts like an animal. *shrug* I didn't see it as payback, either.

It's probably the second most boring couple of the 'verse, but it was still enjoyable. I thought it was cute, Willow finally found a guy that wasn't Xander to pay attention to. Oz was good for her at the time, and I don't think they were ever meant to be together for a long time.

They were a "boring" couple compared to many in the Jossverse, but the conversations between the two of them are great. The whole "I mock you with my monkey pants" is a favourite scene, and the Pez witch is just cute.

absolutely Allan. But I think it was good for the show to have one couple that was pretty normal and as a reault 'boring'. Not an awful lot may have happened in the relationship but it never made me want to skip a scene

That's exactly it. They were nice and normal, and still very entertaining. Far more so than Willow and Tara, for example.

Nice and normal is boring for TV, imo. I get enough of that in RL, I want to see abnormal and exciting for entertainment. They were enjoyable with Oz's dialog, or lack there of, and Willow's sense of humor, but as far as relationships go, it wasn't great.

I think they complemented each other, and "normal" was abnormal for the show.

For a show like Buffy, normal do tend to be boring. Even with that said, I'm glad their relationship didn't have the doom and gloom that Bangel or any of the relationships had. Willow and Tara, for me, was the boring couple - and not in the good way.

I loved Willow&Oz, I hated Veruca for breaking them up. Honestly I don't think it was pay back think it was more of an attraction based on the fact they were both werewolves, the whole Xander thing well that was for seen in the beginning mean they had known each other for like ever, yeah.

Willow and Oz were awesome togeather. Sure they may not have been intense and angsty. Willow never had to kill Oz or keep their relationship secret because it was unnatural (okay, maybe if she got it on with wolfie Oz) but it was a solid love that was grounded in respect. What's wrong with that? No, I don't believe Oz was getting back at Willow. That just wasn't Oz. The attraction to Veruca was purely animal. Also I'd have to say that "Oz" didn't have sex with Veruca any more then he ate a person (Zeppo). Oz had no control over his wolf at that stage of the show. His decision to leave was also purely from his love, he couldn't risk hurting Willow. He would never be able to live with himself if he did that. I secretly hoped/believed they would always get back togeather (shh, don't tell anyone).

Oz was my favourite love interest for Willow. I think it would have been a shame if they got back together afterwards, though, since Willow was calling herself "gay" rather than "bisexual". I think it would have been a step backward, rather than forward.
