I picked Buffy because it had the best episodes overall and it is what got me hooked on the Jossverse, Firefly came a close 2nd though. I love Buffy, always will. I mean come on I am 18 and have Buffy posters on my wall!!! LOL!!!

I chose Buffy the Vampire Slayer. As much as i love Angel, i still think buffy was the best. It's dialogue was hilarious, but Joss always knew when to make it serious. The characters developed so much through the series. The relationships were interesting and it wasn't just about a girl and a stake. It was about some of the problems that we face every day.

Buffy. I guess I just got more attached to the characters. The characters of Buffy were better I think. I havnt seen enough of Firefly to judge. Angel was ok but sometimes the characters got boring. And Buffy was my first love. So deffo Buffy.

Which characters on Angel got boring? I found them all interesting and great to watch. I got more attached to most of the BtVS characters (though not all) more because there were more years with them and we saw them grow up, unlike on Angel they were all adults and grown already :dunno:

I actually prefer Angel. I'm not sure why. Maybe it because it's a little darker. Also almost from the start the major bad guys are human, which was a different approach. It was also nice to see Angel grow as a character--Wesley, too. I never got sick of Angel, either.

I chose Firefly. Buffy will always be my favorite, simply because it lasted longer than the other two, but I think the best one is FF. To create a universe like that and all those characters and have them fit in together so well (and of course the actors did a wonderful job with that, too). I just think it was a stroke of genius and it's unfortunate it had such a short run.

I would go with Buffy with Firefly being a close second. However, if Firefly had the same number of season/episodes as Buffy, I believe that Firefly would be the best show that Joss has ever created. The 12 or so episodes was mindblowingly good. Just imagine how good 144 episodes would be. Though I'm a fan of Angel, I wouldn't pick it over Buffy or Firefly. There is something about Angel that makes it 'weaker' than the other two shows for me. Not sure what it is though. Maybe it's too dark for my taste or maybe the characters are older and a tad difficult to relate to unlike the characters in Buffy. I don't really know though.  |

I liked Angel more than Buffy. The subject matter of atoning for past mistakes seemed a bit truer to me.
I'd rank Buffy next, the show had some amazing episodes.
Much as I love Firefly, it just doesn't have the amount of episodes, and wasn't developed as far as it could be. That said, I'd say it had the best first season of all three.

Buffy, its the show I grew up with, and it was all about growing up, Angel was more about (as previously stated) atoning.

I picked Buffy. I absolutely adore Angel as well, but Buffy is the one I watched first, and it's just my favorite.

I also voted for Buffy.
I haven't seen Firefly yet, and as some mentioned, it wasn't too long. I also loved Angel, but Buffy has always been my favorite. Angel is more of a dark show. Buffy can have its dark moments, but it also can have a wide variety of other moments.

Today's IMDb poll (imdb.com/poll) is Your Favorite Joss Whedon creation. Earlier today Buffy was winning, but I just checked it again and Firefly is now in a close lead. I voted for Buffy. I think like Liz said, if there were more episodes in Firefly, it could have been Joss' best. Oh well!

What do you guys think of Dr. Horrible beating out Angel and Dollhouse. I haven't seen Dollhouse, but I don't think Dr. Horrible is better than Angel. I love it, but it's too short of a web series! |
