Which two characters would have made a good ship?

I forget about Spike and Faith! They have utterly brilliant chemistry in Dirty Girls. One my favourite scenes in all of season 7 is them in the basement

Yeah, they are. Giles/Buffy (Guffy?) is also considered a ship, which I really hate. Giles was a father to her, not a romantic interest.

Also, Buffy/Faith. Big one. I don't like femmeslash so I stay away from it, but I can kinda see the potential.

They aren't considered canon ships, any of those. You can call anything a ship, but the canon ones are the actual relationships that occured onscreen. I don't think Anya/Spike, Faith/Buffy and definately NOT Giles/Buffy are ships. At all.

Oh they're definitely fanon. I have seen people argue that Giles/Buffy are canon. Those people are whacked in the head.

Very, very wrong. I can't see how people can ship that. He's like a father to her! And there is definitly nothing in canon that says they had any kind of relationship besides that.

Why isn't Anya/Spike canon? It happened. Yeah, it was only sex, but it still happened.

I don't know if I consider Angel/Spike to be canon or not. I mean, yeah, it's VERY obvious that there was a lot more to their relationship, but it was never actually seen on screen. However, Spike did say, "Well, there was that one time..."

Anya/Spike isn't a canon relationship because they weren't in a relationship. Its canon, it happened, but not a canon ship. Same as Dru/Angelus - its canon, but they aren't really a canon relationship. At least not imo, and they are never put on couple lists. I guess 'canon' depends on the actual viewer.

They may have had sex but they were not in a relationship, no more than Angelus had with Drusilla

I don't know how I feel about Willow/Angel, but I think Angelus would have gone after her in season 2 if he wasn't so Buffy-obsessed.

I don't. She seemed kind of boy crazy. I think people get her fascination with Wil and Tara's witchcraft mixed up with their relationship. I don't know. I just didn't get that vibe from her.

I've always wanted to see Spike/Faith and Willow/Xander get a real try at it. I agree that Giles and Joyce would have been a good one.

I don't like Willow/Xander at all. The way they acted in Season 3 pissed me off so much. Xander acts like he's all righteous while he's cheating on his girlfriend. I hate it. The fact that they are cheating is awful. I never really even cared for Willow/Xander before that, either. I wanted Willow to get a boyfriend, but I never wanted it to be Xander.

Though I liked Giles and Joyce in Band Candy, I've never been a fan of them having any kind of relationship.
