There are a few thing on Buffy that I wish hadn't happened, so I wondered which things people hated happening the most. So I put to you the question - name 3 things you think shouldn't have happened on Buffy? The top three for me would be
1. Dawn being such a brat in seasons 5 and 6. She should have been way more likeable imo.
2. The Bangel kiss in Chosen. Out of place. Out of character. Annoying.
3. Willow and Kennedy. So very Ew.

I agree with all of the above + I'll add some of my own
1. Dawn stealing storyline- boring + unoriginal
2. Xander being squeezed out of the 7th Season- damn potentials
3. The episode 'Lie to Me' should have just been scrapped, I'm sure they could have come up with something better (although I do like the Dru/Angel development in it)

What was unoriginal about it?

I don't think it was unoriginal as such, but it certainly made Dawn more of a brat and more annoying.

1. Dawn- I would have pushed her off that platform so damn fast..... she grew on me a little in season 7 and i mean a little but I will never enjoy her character 2. The Initiative - Dodgy baddies. Also, annoying. 3. The Potentials - Annoying plain and simple. Plus bought us Kennedy. Need i say more?

1- Not making Xander gay 2- Not working on Xander's issues from his insecurity to his vampire complex 3- Not making Xander and Spike friends ... or lovers PS: my avie won't show, what should I do?

2- Not working on Xander's issues from his insecurity to his vampire complex woah woah woah in no way did xander have a vampire complex he despised them (as he should) and would have killed himself rather than become one as far as making xander and spike lovers, i think way too much emphasise on buffy forums these days is about gay relationships lol

Well, he sure did. He saw the world in black and white and it's mostly in vampires. Well, I don't need Xander and Spike to be lovers. They could be friends .... with a kiss

Or a few kisses But Xander defiantely had a vampire complex. I'm not saying it wasn't warranted but still. After fighting with 2 soulled vampires you'd think he would understanda bit better that vampire soulled is not the same as unsoulled vampire.

You know I think he began to understand and see the gray in S7, when Anya asked him to help her out when she was suggestiong killing Spike, Xander ignored her. I have some examples of Xander finally being okay with Spike and trusting Buffy ... but I wish the writers worked on it more, made the two respect each other and eventually be friends ... or at least get along.

I don't see how Spike and Xander could ever be friends. Spike tried to rape his best friend. Even knowing that was before he was souled, it would be hard for someone like Xander to ever like Spike after that. I think in the end he was fine with Spike being around, the same with Angel, but that doesn't mean he was starting to like him.

Maybe after Spike saved the world, sacrificed himself for the world, Xander will start to like him ... or at least respect him. I really wish the Spike movie to be made and we see Xander in it.

If Xander found out Spike was alive again he might have a grudging respect for him, but I can't see him ever liking him

There are some things I would have tweaked ever so slightly, but three things I wouldn't have done at all...
1. Willow and Kennedy--OK, so Willow needed to move on, fine. Have her do it with someone else more suited for her.
2. Willow turning evil--It was very (and I mean very) OOC. Had she come to rely on magic too much? Yes. There are other ways we could see her deal with that, though.
3. And since I can't think of anything else, I'll agree with Beck that Dawn should have been more likeable from the start.
