No way was Where the Wild Things Are underrated. Its my least favourite episode by FAR and thats including it laying way behind such crap as Doublemeat Palace and I Robot (which has some funny scenes with the Giles/jenny story but thats it). I found Where the wild things are to be an entirely pointless episode, it was all about Buffy and Riley having sex What were they doing, trying to prove that there WAS some passion in that relationship? Sheesh. I agree. I hated that episode. Now that you mention it, it could imply that Joss was trying too hard to show that Buffy and Riley had passion in their relationship. Plus, it was pretty stupid that Buffy was off sleeping with Riley when her friends were in trouble .

Storyteller is definitely underrated in my eyes.
Overrated ep would probably have to be OMWF to me.

You're crazy to say OMWF is overrated! 11/50 Why do you think it's overrated? The story with Buffy finally telling her friends she was ripped out of Heaven was so powerful and I think the music was the only way they could make that happen with a balance so it wasn't so dreary. I loved it.

The songs and everything were great. I just think that the plot - Xander summoning Sweet and not owning up - was weak. I don't know. After repeated viewing, it isn't all that awesome. And I think people who say The Body is overrated is crazy!

The end of Once More, With Feeling made no sense and I agree it was weak. I think its a great episode, but it was let down by that. I don't think The Body was that great. It was a good emotional episode, but not one of the best.

The Body really affected me. It was powerfully written and directed, and just so stark. The ending to OMWF was a little weak, but the episode wasn't so much about the plot as it was about the presentation.

Shite, I guess the plot of OMWF was pretty weak, but randomly singing and dancing was a hard thing to explain . I didn't see any problems with the end, though. The way the gang reacted when they found out Buffy was in heaven was very touching, and it made her start her "reign" with Spike- it all seemed to play out nicely imo. 42/50

How did it not make sense? It was basically centered around Buffy being pulled from heaven and how she didn't want her friends to know. We got a little bit from every character, and what they were feeling. The songs weren't just random - Joss put a lot of thought into the songs, both melody and meaning. I liked the ending. I'm glad it wasn't Dawn who summoned Sweet - that would be too predictable. And like Laura said, when Buffy told the gang what really happened, it became a touching moment, and for me, a rather serious episode. Anyway I don't think it's overrated at all.

yeh I don't get it either! Conversations With Dead People was awsome too! Ted was definately overrated and I agree with Beck on Beer Bad it was very good Disagree! I think Ted is underrated. The whole idea of Buffy coping with the fact that she killed (what she thought was) a human is really interesting.

John Ritter was the coolest thing about "Ted" by a mile, and the ending was decent. The rest of the episode sucked.

Which parts didn't you like? It's pretty much all Ted.

Mainly the script. By John Ritter being the coolest part, I meant his performance more than the character. The episode, to me, was pretty boring, and aside from a few cute moments, the character was bland (thougn Ritter did manage to save that).

That's fair enough. I just like the general theme - Buffy dealing with human death supposedly caused by her own hand. Obviously something that comes back into play in season three with Faith.

Yeah, and it was done far better with Faith. The thing is, we know Ted's a robot, and Buffy learns as much, which, to me, sells out the theme by the end of it.

I think had we not learned Ted was a Robot until Buffy did it would have probably had more of the effect it was going for. And, because it was brought up again with Faith, I think people looking back on the show downplay "Ted" because the "Buffy thinks she killed a human" storyline wasn't played as well as it could have been. Now, I'm not saying I was thrilled with the episode when it first aired. It certainly doesn't rank high on my list. But it does have merit in that it brought up the idea of "what if this had happened?"

It does bring up the idea, I just don't think it made anything of it. I found it very difficult to care about Buffy's reaction in the episode, because I knew he was a robot. It was hard to empathise with Buffy.
