-Have we got a thread for this?- I loved this episode, it reminded me of normal again, a What if episode, I loved the humour in it, Even the creepyness of some of the lines , Thinking back, when the scoobies asked if anyone had seen Giles touch anything or anyone, and I thought "Oh god, I hope Giles isnt Dead!" . What did you guys think? did you think he might be dead? What if he was dead?, What did you think about th rest of the episode?

I was almost positive Giles wasn't dead, because I remember him like holding books and reports when he came to Buffy in Bring on the Night. If he had been dead, well, that would have been very bad. However, what could he have done? If Giles had been the First, he couldn't have hurt the Potentials unless he had some Bringers or something to attack them on the trip. I enjoyed the rest of the episode. It was an interesting idea, and I felt very bad for Willow when she (as Warren) was walking down the street and she kind of fell into the wall crying. I didn't like how evil Amy had become, though. I also liked the storyline with Spike. It was also a twist that the chip started malfunctioning. Though, it was sad seeing him in so much pain .

I thought the potentials had all the books and reports?, didnt Giles tell them to lay them on the table?
I think with Giles it was more about the mental pain he could inflict, and if he was the first he wouldve taken the potentials to the desert where bringers were waiting (like you mentioned).
The only thing that really stopped me from thinking, oh my Giles is dead, is I hoped Joss wouldnt have made such a silly mistake as to kill Giles off, His writing was an insult to giles fans, his death wouldve been horrible!

You're probably right, I haven't watched the episode in forever lol. I thought he had some report about the Council being destroyed, but the Potentials could have been carrying them. However, I do remember him sitting on the table (which for some reason the First could do in the vineyard). That's true, Giles could mentally hurt them. The Potentials would be betrayed by someone they thought they could trust. That would make them wonder whom to trust, since they didn't know anyone that well yet. Yes, Giles death would have been horrible. I am very glad the original four lived to the end . Oh, another part I loved about the episode is when Warren (as Willow) walked into the living room and Buffy punched him .

I think , if the first couldnt sit on things it would probably not be able to stand on anything and fall threw the floor lol. I think esspecially because the potentials were never okay with the fact all that stood between them and death was One Slayer, they never really had trust in Buffy's abilities as a slayer and protector. LOL!, Laura the warren punching was awesome, it was so quick, it was like "hey" *Whack*

Lol, good point about the First falling through the floor . That would have been funny, though . Good point. However, most of the Potentials had trouble trusting Buffy anyway . LOL, yeah it was really funny. Nice reaction on Buffy's part . What did you think about Spike's storyline in the episode?

I never for a second thought Giles was dead, but I did think the scoobies all running to 'save' the potentials was funny Other than that - I wasn't a fan of this episode. The Warren/Willow/Kennedy thing I didnt find all that interesting :dunno: I do think it was necessary for Willow's development though.

I forgot about the warren/Willow/Kennedy thing, I dont know weather that was aimed at Kennedy, Helping her see who willow really is, or at Willow and her developement, either way, I found it kind of disturbing. Giles Comment "Oh. That's very sweet. Now wait a minute - you think I'm evil... if I bring a group of girls on a camping trip and don't touch them?" Creepy Giles, very very Creepy The first thing Xander said "Touch him. Touch him." Also, I think this is the episode Spike and Buffy go to the initiative for help?, and Buffy is given the choice to repair or remove his Chip. An important moment, it shows how far they have both come.

Yeah, I really liked how Buffy was given that option and how she took the option to remove it. It really showed her trust and belief in Spike.
I didn't hate the Willow/Kennedy/Warren storyline, but it also wasn't the best. It was important for Willow to move on, and the scene with her and the gun was very powerful imo.
