I agree about Spike getting his soul back. I wish that never happened. But that's a Buffy moment and should be in the BTVS thread.
For me (in no particular order)
1. Angel/Cordelia...it wasn't needed and happened so suddenly and made Angel act really OOC at times. 2. Connor having such a one-track mind. Yeah, the kid has been through a lot, but he has to grow up and accept other possibilities! 3. The degradation of Angel in the episodes following Epiphany. Who the Hell are they to judge?? Things of course shouldn't have been perfect at the time, but I hated how they treated him.

I'll grant you Cordy and Conner, and the ick factor there. I don't see what the big deal is with Lindsey getting killed, though. He was a cool character, but I don't think his death went against the show. And as for Wesley taking Conner, he did what he thought was right, what he truly believed was the only choice. I thought it made the series more interesting.

I loved his character, and seeing Lorne of all people kill him was awful. And I do like the twist of Wesley stealing Connor, but I hated what it did to Connor's character (it's the first event that started his path toward problems) and I also hated how upset Angel was. Plus, it isolated and changed Wesley a lot.

Wesley's isolation and change was a good thing imo, it gave his character a new turn and I enoyed rough Wes. I don't much like Conner, and Wesley acted wrongly but it made for good story imo so it was good. I agree Lilah shouldn't have died. I would've enjoyed seeing her at W&H with Angel and co there, she'd have struggled a fair bit I think Lindsey dying... :dunno: Didn't care all that much. Agreed Doyle shouldn't have died so early. Also agree Angel never acted OOC with the Cordy thing.

Maybe if the show had continued . No, it was just something that I had wished hadn't happened .

And you haven't seen seasons 3 and 4 so you should reserve judgment on it until you have I've seen some episodes and I'm *officially* watching Season 3 right now actually. And Angel's weird speech thing to Cordelia in Quickening--God, I hated it. Wanted to jump into the show and tell him to stop making a fool of himself. That is the kind of thing I'm talking about. And Angel and Cordelia were acting completely like *friends* then Fred goes on about Kyerumption and Angel's suddenly all Cordelia-obsessed.

You were biased against it before you started watching it I don't think Angel was suddenly Cordelia-obsessed or that it happened that suddenly, that was just what made Angel realise how he felt. But I'm pretty sure I've posted about this elsewhere a few times.

You can't possibly tell me that you *like* his freaky speech in Quickening?

You can't possibly tell me that you like a lot of the freaky dialogue between Buffy and Angel? Disliking one speech on the show doesn't turn me against an entire potential relationship.

1) The Angel and Coredila hookup. 2) Jasmine - season 4 was going great until Jasmine showed up. They should have ended the season with the gang killing off the Beast. He was a great villian. 3) Spike showing up in season 5 - he should have stayed dead, in my opinion.

The Beast was a great "Little Bad", but I would have liked to see him developed some more before being the Big Bad...

I think if the writers didn't have Jasmine in mind, The Beast would have been developed enough to be a great big bad. I felt he had a lot of potential as a big bad. Him being the little bad didn't allow the writers to explore his potential in my opinion.
He would make a great big bad if he was written as a big bad and not as a lead up to Jasmine.

I personally liked Jasmine. Most of Angel's adverseries have been complex, morally ambiguous and inextrictacably linked to him, such as Holtz and Conner. The whole 'it's so powerful, how do we defeat it' things has been done before and we've had demons/enemies who simply want to destroy the world as well, but for him to destroy the world so Jasmine could save it kind of worked for me because it was unexpected.

Yeah, I loved Jasmine's arc for the "what is the cost of world peace" angle.
In regard to the Beast, I'm sure that if he were the big bad, they would have done more with him - but in the process,he probably would have become a different character. We got virtually no additional information about him, so who knows how he would have turned out if we got it.
