I listen to heavy metal and alot of hair metal actually lol. My favorite bands have to be MetallicA, godsmack, Kiss, disturbed (not quite so metal maybe) and the list goes on like that.

Smoke on the water is a fantastic song. I cant resist that guitar rift it makes my knees go all gooey! I listen to anything, i like rock and indie mainly, depends on my feeling, I absolutely hate RnB I just cant get into it :X

I'm really into the Brit rock bands like Coldplay, Keane, Snow Patrol and Artic Monkeys. And other bands like Maroon 5 and Linkin Park. So anything that's rock, is my cup of tea but not stuff like My Chemical Romance or those hard-rocking, guitar smashing rock bands. I like my rock mellow and without the screaming or the swearing.

My tastes have definitely mellowed since my last post. Not a huge fan of SOAD anymore except for some of their slower, mellow songs. Does Sean still head bang, Beck?

I voted other because I quite like bands from a couple of those categories. Most of my cds would be described as alternative/indie rock. I really dislike r'n'b, hip-hop/rap, techno and country music. 5 years on, I listen to less indie, and actually some country/pop! At the moment, I am listening to a lot of Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Jewel's newest CDs. Anyone else change their preferences?

I still listen to a wide range of music. Still not a fan of techno or rap or much country but anything else I will listen to.

I listen to what I want to listen at that time.
Otherwise, I listen to pretty much everything.

I'm getting into Nirvana more and more lately. Grunge never really appealed to me but Nirvana is certainly growing on me the last month or so. I blame work!

I like Nirvana but I don't think Kurt Cobain was a very good singer. Suited their songs though.

Neither do I but his voice fits well with their style of music so it's not very noticeable.
I think it can be said for most singers in a rock/heavy metal band.

I love his voice. Just wish he'd change up the notes a bit. All of the songs sound a bit too alike.

Yeah I can't listen to too much Nirvana at once because all the songs are so similar. I do like them though.

One thing I don't like about their songs is that you can hardly understand what they are singing about.

Well the lyrics don't make sense anyway, so they don't matter. JK ... most of the lyrics are pretty amusing actually.
