... and the rest of Harry Potter land? news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6706939.stmAnd the guy who makes the sets for the films will be helping on the project, so it will be true HP-esque. How fun would that be?? (Insulting myself: Gosh Bre you're such a baby ooh "I wanna go to Hogwarts!" )14/50

Yes! I doooooooo!
I'm glad Jo has been involved. And that's awesome that it will have the same feel as the movie set wise.

I heard about this today and I just saw this thread, so...
I'm kinda excited about it! I mean, a whole amusement park dedicated to Harry Potter? That's pretty damn awesome.
Hee *imagines a ride involving Quidditch*

It's not a whole amusement park, just part of of Islands of Adventure. It's going to have Hogwarts the Forbidden Forest and the Hogsmeade! Ooh I really want to go.

I'm assuming there will be some virtual reality stuff so that maybe Quidditch would be possible. Oh man that would be soooo fun.

A rollercoaster ride at Gringotts would be fun.

Ooh I never even thought of that! Do you think they're going to have an area for Knockturn Alley? That would be creepy.

Hm, that would be cool. I hoping that they WILL have Diagon Alley, as well as Hogsmeade. I bet they'll have characters walking around that you can take photos with - Hagrid, Dumbledore, the trio. Oooh maybe they'll have a flying motorcycle ride?

I've been to Alnick(sp?) Castle in England, where they filmed quidditch in the first couple of movies. That was good, the castle was really nice.

I'm not big on rollercoasters and the such that iconify theme parks, but it would be interesting to see what other attractions they have--like Quidditch--that would attract people like me who don't do rollercoasters.

I'm like you, Marie. I'm not a fan of Roller coasters. I think just the look of it draws me to it, and if there are rides that aren't roller coasters.

I still love rollercoasters, but I can't say I am overly interested in going to a HP theme park

How come? You just don't see the appeal? You're a harry potter fan so you must have some kind of desire to visit.

I enjoy the books and movies. But I don't see the appeal of a theme park based on it :dunno: I'm sure there would be cool bits, but considering how much I reckon it would cost, no thanks

I don't know... Hogsmeade village and Diagon Alley would be cool to walk through but I am not a huge fan of amusement parks these days
