Seems to be a lot of Sirius lovers on here.... so lets discuss him! Do we want to see him come back? Do you think its possible? Who HATES that JKR had the nerve to kill him off?

1. As much as i love Sirius i dont want him to come back
2. It shouldnt be possible like Sir Nick was saying

Mm, I liked Sirius a lot - but not loved. I really hope he's not dead.

I agree with Glenn. Though I absoulutely adore Sirius, he's my favorite character, I don't want him to come back because I feel it's a little...I don't know, unrealistic? Didn't Dumbledore make a point of saying people can't come back from the dead? Though I wouldn't be mad if he was to return, I think it kind of belittles the aftermath of his death and it's effect on Harry.
Why don't we have some Sirius discussion?
EDIT: But Gary Oldman is a brilliant actor, Liz, he did an amazing job at post-Azkaban Sirius in POA

He was my favorite. And I want him to come back. Sure it made Harry stronger. So he's stronger now, bring Sirius back!

I agree with Bre! I want Sirius back... however its possible. They never saw his body did they? He was assumed dead not proven dead... I think... may have missing something there with the throwing of the book... I don't mind Gary Oldman as Sirius. I love Sirius enough that anyone could be kinda cute as Sirius in the end  And he does do skanky Azkaban Sirius well |

She never said he was dead like you said in the other thread! If he doesn't come back, I think Regalus Black will play a big role in Book 7. Hope I like him as much as Sirius... but... bring back Sirius!!

JKR never confirmed his death, so I guess it is highly possible that he will return. I don't see Regulus as being as awesome as Sirius and we can't say that since he's family he'll be cool because most of the Blacks and cousins are bitches and bastards.

Lol, I am so in love with Sirius that even Gary Oldman is a hottie now in my eyes... its sad. I wish they would bring him back, at the same time the slasher in me hopes he is with James beyond the veil sooo...  lol. I love his character though. I hope they use a really good lookingactor for Young Sirius though cause Harry doesn'tmention looks much, it wasn't till Dean mentioned it that we hear Pavarti and Patil are two of the best looking girls, yet Cedric he mentions is handsome once and Cho, but he states over and over again as if we didn't understand the first time that Sirius is Handsome, So I am thinking he better be freakin HOT! |

Dumbledore would surely know what the effects of falling through the curtain would have on somebody. He wouldnt let Harry believe Sirius to be dead if he wasnt, surely.

Why not? He never told Harry a lot of things, and and Dumbledore may have known there was a chance for Sirius to be alive but didnt want to give Harry hope in case he was wrong, OR he wanted Harry concentrating on the Horcruxes and the fight with Voldemort.

I'm still with Glenn on this. I think he's dead and as much as I wish otherwise he should probably stay dead. His death made a huge impact on Harry and as I said before having Sirius return would cheapen that.

His coming back would make a bigger impact on Harry! Why is everyone so happy to see Harry an Orphan, personally I think he deserves a little bit of a family and stealing Sirius away was cruel.

Didnt say i was happy to see him an orphan  I think if Sirius comes back Harry will rely too much on him when in this book i think it will be very much about his Journey. Which is why Dumbledore was taken away as well. |

Gary Oldman isn't cute enough to be Sirius! Just thought of something...Glideroy Lockhart is suppossed to be really good looking too and they cast Kenneth Branaugh who isn't remotely good looking. I think the acting is more important and as I said Gary Oldman has so far done a fantastic job. I hope we see a lot of him in the fifth movie--especially a lot of interaction between he and Harry because the development of their relationship was left out in the fouth movie and for his death to have the effect in the movie that it had in the book more of a concrete relationship should be built between them. |

Yah, man I am just thinking about everything that is most likely to be left out of the fifth movie... they will never be as good as the books. I wonder if we will see him confront Sirius and Remus about the Pensieve scene, or if we will see Molly telling Sirius off about Harry not being James (I hated that part, it made me really dislike Molly!
