That's exactly it, Tash.
And the passage gives a possible reason, even if it's flimsy. And it's the only possible reason that it alludes to.

It doesn't say anywhere that she was checking him out. He may have been comforting her throughout the ordeal and she may have been feeling very vulnerable at that stage and she developed feelings for him. If she was so obsessed with him then why didn't she ask for his number? And the part about her not being able to find him doesn't necessarily mean she scoured the whole of the country for him, just that she may have asked people she knew who he was and they didn't know. I think you're over complicating it. The hint is that it's not a trick question. As Paul said, it doesn't mention any interest in inheritence or money, just the man. It would be non-sequiter if the story had nothing to do with the man in question. Why even mention it? What Allan, Paul and I did is simply connect all the parts of the story and made them relevent to the answer. As Allan, said the trick is to think that you're a psychopath. It's a joke, hence the 1funny.com. It is quite funny though, I've saved it on my favorites, the general site that is.

If its that simple then why doesn't everyone get it right. Or are the ones that are not able to connect the psychopathic dots just not as smart as the ones that can. When i was answering the question the first time round i didnt over complicate anything, i read the question, figured that she found out the man and her sister had some kind of connection and that was it. Didnt cross my mind that she would kill her just on the off chance he would show up again. If that makes me non psychopathic material then i will stick to my ignorant ways thanks.

Hehe, yeah I talked to mate about this, he got it. I assumed it was logical but they do say psychopaths are logical and calculating.

Apparently they are. And Glenn, I thought it was fairly obvious, but maybe people who are more inclined to "read between the lines" answer it that way.
