And no, I'm not making this up. Joss is reteaming with Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day (Vi in Buffy), along with Neal Patrick Harris and his brothers, for an online musical. And people were thinking Dollhouse was a weird turn for him. Click here the article.

It'll be interesting. Plot-wise it seems completely over the top, but it looks like it'll be fun.

Yeah I think it's supposed to be over the top. I'll watch it.

I just found out about this and came onto the boards to make sure others knew about it. This should be interesting.

Here is the new teaser video. I think it looks pretty funny, actually.

I've heard about this but never really gave it much thought.
Saw the teaser vid and I'm looking forward to it. ;D Looks like it's going to be really funny.

It does look quite amusing. EDIT - Dark Horse Presents on MySpace has a comic prelude to Dr Horrible.

The first act is up! However, it's only for the U.S residents. www.drhorrible.com/act_I.htmlBut they are working on trying to get the vid to be streamed outside of the U.S. I hope they figure it out soon. I'm quite curious. ;D

Oh, that sucks! I really hope they get it working outside the US... And I was reading this interview with Joss about it today.

The website is now available for those of us outside the US, and Act II is now live. I've watched both parts, and so far, it is brilliant. Who would have thought Neil Patrick Harris could sing?

I'm not a big fan of musicals but I love it! ;D It's hilarious and so Joss!

It has me wishing Joss would make a musical for the big screen. Between this and OMWF (and Dr Horrible is up to OMWF's standard), I'd love to see it. And I wouldn't complain if it was a Dr Horrible one.

He totally should!
When I was watching Act 2, I was just thinking how Joss should make this into a feature length movie. It doesn't have to be on the big screen - a TV movie would be just as awesome.

Maybe it'll be a big success and we'll see more Dr Horrible. Act III is now up, though I haven't watched it yet. EDIT - Watched Act III Wow, I should have been expecting it with Joss and all, but I was shocked by it becoming such a tragedy. Penny's death was terrible. And did you catch the cameos? David Fury and Marti Noxon on the news, and Drew Goddard and Doug Petrie as part of the Evil League of Evil.

Caught Act 3. All I can say is "Wow!" What an ending! Definitely didn't expect Penny's death even though I should expect a twist like that from Joss. I think this is my favourite part of all the Acts. The ending was awesome! It's odd how you feel so much for Dr. Horrible - and hate Captain Hammer (even though I love him ) - when he's the bad guy. I mean, when is the last time you wished the bad guy got the girl?! Loved how it just ended with Dr. Horrible at his webcam singing, "feel". I was like, "That was it? Nooooo!" And no, I didn't catch the cameos. But thanks for pointing that out. I must go watch it again. ;D It sucks there isn't more. I wonder whether a soundtrack will be out.

I would like them to release a soundtrack. Apparently, there will definitely be a DVD released, complete with a commentary...which is sung.

I didn't think it was that great. It was entertaining enough, and Neil Patrick Harris does have a great voice. I chuckled a few times, but I kind of expected more, and totally knew someone, not specifically Penny, would die. That's just so Joss/

I thought it was hilarious. I guess Joss only had 40 minutes to work with, where he generally builds things up over seasons, etc. But as a fun little comedy, I really thought it worked.
