Is anyone planning on seeing any of the new Christmas movies this year? I have never seen one at the cinema and it isn't likely I will this year either, but we will probably get some out from the video store in a week or two.

If any are coming out on DVD, then I'll watch them. Arthur Christmas looks cute, but I probably won't see it in theaters.

I'm keen on watching Arthur Christmas so I'll check that out. I'm not a big fan of Christmas movies. There aren't any good ones out there! Home Alone was great but it's being overplayed so now it's pretty meh. I do, however, plan on watching Christmas episodes of my favourite shows - Grey's, Buffy, Gilmore Girls, VM, Roswell, Lois & Clark.

I thought about taking the kids to see Arthur Christmas but I heard it leaves you with no doubt at the end that Santa isn't real and I don't want to spoil that for Ella-Rose and Dylan I'll take them to puss in boots instead

It does?! Well that's a terrible Christmas movie, then.

It does?! Well that's a terrible Christmas movie, then. I agree! I don't know how accurate that is, or if it is only obvious to older kids but either way.... one of you go see it and let me know!

They change the mythology. Santa passes the santa cap down to his son & so on. The little girl does note how all of her friends don't believe anymore though but she does. I love everything aardman & grew up on Wallace & gromit!
It depends on what kind of believers the kiddies are, the movie makes Santa more plausible by updating it to 2012, a huge parcel delivering operation rather than one guy who lives forever delivering the gifts with just his rudolph to guide him, leaves less up to the imagination.

Hmm well the Santa Clause was kind of like that. Where it wasn't the same Santa forever, and that seemed to work out. I've already watched Nightmare Before Christmas about 5 times this year. I've watched Elf and the Santa Clause a couple times, too. I still have to watch Miracle and It's a Wonderful Life.
