Dennis Hopper, 74, lost his battle with prostate cancer today. Sad day.

I'm glad he got his star before he died. He had some great roles. One of the best villains on film in Speed i thought.

I will be watching Empire Strikes Back tonight. RIP Irvin Kershner.

I was saddened to read about both Irvin Kershner and Leslie Nielsen this morning.

RIP to both. Leslie Nielsen always reminded me of my gramps. Sad indeed.

Elizabeth Taylor is gone. She was 79. I know lots of people know her for being married a lot, being friends with Michael Jackson, appearing a little nuts etc but she was a pretty damn good actress for her time and won two Oscars. She was also very committed to charity work, especially Aids organisations. A sad day for Hollywood.

Sad day indeed. I loved Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Cleopatra. I even loved her role as Helena Cassadine in General Hospital! Whenever they show the throwback episodes with her in it, I have to watch. RIP.

Well I'll have to watch Grease. Jeff Conaway (Kenickie) died overnight. He was 60.

Sad. I watched him on Celebrity Rehab a few times. He was the only one who didn't annoy me. I'll have to watch Grease soon too.

It is incredibly sad that she threw her life & talent away.
I have already heard a bucketload of Amy Wine house jokes and regardless of her issues with drink & alcohol there is still a family grieving at the loss of their child.

Yeah it's getting pretty old, all of the Rehab jokes. She's one of my favorite artists, so it's a sad day. RIP.

Inevitable yet still unexpected in a weird way. Another member of the "Forever 27 Club".

She was an addict, the jokes about that are horrible. It is sad she couldn't overcome it.

It was coming but still shocking. Never thought it would get this far. What a waste though.

Not sure where the whoa comes from. Unfortunately Whitney has been in a very public downward spiral for years and years. Its only been a matter of time. Its really a shame because i think without a doubt she has one of the best voices i have ever heard. At her best she was really extraordinary. The Bodyguard was the third movie i ever saw at the cinema. And i fricking loved it. She had decent acting chops. But again, the drugs destroyed it all. Its really very sad.

Whoa because I didn't think she was still hook on the drugs this bad.
Never heard anything on it recently - but then again, I never looked her up - so I thought she's on the mend. Definitely took me by surprise.
