Are you sad about Sir Alex retiring, Irene?

At least Rooney is staying?

I'd rather he leaves. He has asked for a transfer twice now in 3 years. I don't want him in the team if he doesn't want to play for us.
Would be interesting to see what happens with the new manager comes in though. But he's a goner in my opinion.

Why isn't he being allowed to leave if he's asked twice?

He's still considered a valuable part of the team and the club doesn't really want him to leave - especially if the rumours are true - to another English club.
But I think it's really about money. He's a huge star. Losing him would cost the club a lot of money - from shirt sales, sponsors, etc.

Where do you think he'd go? I think it would be funny if he went to Arsenal...

Rumours are that he wants to go to Chelsea. I find it a bit dumb for him to go to another English club because - beside Man City - none of the English clubs are strong enough to win titles (not in the immediate future anyway). If he wants to move because he wants to win things, going to a European club would be the obvious choice. The fact that he wants to go to another English club like Chelsea just says he wants to move because he wants more money.

Suárez is so disgusting. LFC to sell him £50 million...he's worth like £5 (yes I understand his actual value, but I just think he's so gross).

LFC is smart to make money of him! And I agree - he's disgusting. Never liked him since the world cup where he got Ghana out with that handball.

The biting was so foul.
How did England draw with Brazil?

I've kinda stop watching England play football. As much as I love English football, most of the English players infuriate me - except for my boys of course. International football is boring!

According to one in the boys in my class, Brazil drew only because they have players from Bayern Munich (he's German).

Moyes is off to a good start. True test comes in the next two weeks! Though I'm a little bit more confident than I was before the season started. Still think we won't win anything this season.

Why do you think that?

Because we are severely lacking a playmaker/proper midfielder and it's going to cause us some trouble when we play teams like Chelsea and Man City. I mean, we are still playing old man Giggs! And I cannot see us doing well in the Champions League if we don't have a world class midfield. This was the biggest worry I had when Moyes took over - that we won't be able to attract big name players to the club because no one outside of England know who Moyes is. Chelsea are favourites to win the league 'cause of Mourhino and the players he has brought in so I'm thinking we'll be second or third (haven't seen City play yet so I can't be sure). Plus, this situation with Rooney will affect the team further down the line. He needs to go. We might win the Carling Cup or even the FA Cup but no ones cares about that.
