Don't like Serena? I used to, until her "incident" at the U.S. Open last year I lost pretty much any and all respect for her after that. Her behavior was completely uncalled for, and she's lucky that her punishment wasn't worse. I still like her sister Venus, though. I've never had a problem with her, but who knows, maybe she'll do something in the future, and then I'll dislike them both This year's Wimbledon was awful, sadly. Roger Federer is my favorite male player, but hasn't played very well lately, and unfortunately, may be past his prime now I absolutely can't stand Nadal, and the fact that he owns Federer whenever they play makes me just sick. Ah well, maybe Roger will win the U.S. Open!

I really can't stand either of the Williams "sisters". They are bad sports, arrogant and rude. When they lose there is always an excuse. It's never that the other person simply played better And like you mentioned Joel, what Serena did last year was so wrong. She should have received a far harsher punishment!

You're absolutely right about the excuse part, no question. They rarely give credit to their opponents after the match in the press conference. After you've had time to cool down, you should always give credit, even if you really don't want to, and/or if you feel you lost it more than they won it. Unfortunately, there seems to be far too many pro athletes that are like that. They have no problem being classy when they win, but when they lose, there's little to no class to be found. It's really sad that they can't be better human beings than that, but such is the world that we live in.

Fed was pretty ungracious in his loss at Wimbledon which was surprising, he is usually a really nice guy and complimenting of his opponents.

That's true. He mentioned that he was hurt I think, and that he hasn't been able to play the way he usually does. But, that still doesn't give you the right to not give credit to your opponent and say that they were just better on that day. I'll give Fed a pass for now, but if he continues acting like this, I'll just have to root for someone else, lol. Maybe I'll start cheering for Andy Murray ;D

Sean informed me yesterday while watching the womens tennis that if no Australian is playing he will go for the one that isn't the ugliest Hopefully Jelena wins tonight, was very disappointed with Lleyton's game in the end last night.

No more shallow than Ella going for all the ones in pink I've been surprised by how much all 3 kids have enjoyed watching the tennis. I have this chorus of Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi! When one is playing Jelena sucked last night, I'd hoped to see her get through. Meh. WTF was Venus wearing.
