Yeah. I really want to know why Caroline wanted to be an Active in the first place. It's not something I would do in my opinion. Especially when you can't remember the awesome stuff that you do. Wait. I must have missed a scene or episode or something, although I thought I'd watched the most recent one (the one in the college science lab). Caroline wanted to be an active? In the first scene of the first episode, we seen Caroline and that lady boss (can't remember her name at the moment) talking about volunteering. Unless I interpreted the scene wrong, she volunteered to be an active.

Aye, I was under that impression to, Caroline seemed extremly aggrevated though, I am sure something must have happened in her life to make her run to the Dollhouse, and the last episode (Campus one) kind of hinted what the reason was.

I've just watched the college episode too. I saw it as DeWitt (the boss lady approached Caroline and made the offer "We get 5 years, you get the rest". Similar to the offer DeWitt made the guy that released the toxin. But I do wonder what the reward was for Caroline to accept. And I so knew about Agent Ballard's neighbour haha. I'm starting to enjoy the show now so I can't wait to see how it changes with Joss making it more his style.

Just caught up til ep 6. : Totally called that Ballard's neighbour was an active - though during their fight I was expecting her to die. Joss did write that episode afterall. One thing I didn't get was the fight between Echo and Ballard in the end. Who sent Echo? Alpha? DeWitt said that she wanted Echo to meet Ballard again so I was under the impression that she was sent to kill Ballard. Then Echo started telling him about the Dollhouse so I'm confuse as to who sent her. I'm guessing Alpha. I'm starting to enjoy this show a lot more now and I can't wait to watch ep 7. Saw the promo for ep 8 as well and it looks goooood! ;D A side note - I was thinking maybe we should get a own section for this show? Would be nice to discuss other things and not cram it all into one thread.

I was thinking that DeWitt sent Echo to either get rid of Ballard or just scare him off, but someone on the inside tampered with her implant so Echo would tell him about Dollhouse....hmmm
Oh and another thing, why is DeWitt so attached to Echo??

I'm really enjoying this series now! From 1.01-1.05, it was okay. 1.06 was amazingly great! Really loved all the stuff going on there! 1.07 was good, but not up to my expectations from 1.06. 1.08 was.... (incase I still need tags for 1.08) frickin' fantastic! I was really hoping Joss would take a huge risk and make Sierra and Victor, at least, stay outa the Dollhouse. I think that would've been creative genius. But, the whole redo thing was like, really? Really, Joss? I think the storyline could've progressed by letting at least one doll free. Would've been real cool!

I missed the first episode and the first few scenes of the college episode, so anything that would have covered some of the history I would have missed. I programmed the VCR but forgot to turn it off Friday night, so I missed the newest episode of Dollhouse. Am going to try to find it on the FOX website before the next one airs so that I'm caught up.

I was expecting to see this lost doll out in the world in the last scene or something. That would definitely make things interesting story-wise - especially for Agent Ballard. But, hey, we got that message from Caroline to Ballard so I guess that's good enough. Oh and am I the only one who would love to see Caroline and Ballard hook up? I'm soo on their ship!

Sorry, I'm not a Paul/Caroline fan. I'm more for Paul/Mellie, and Sierra/Victor! ;D I really want Paul to see Echo again, but I really don't wanna see 'em make out. It would expose Ballard's flaws, but it would just be creeeeepy.

Now, see, I would find Paul making out with Echo weird but not Paul making out with Caroline. I like Sierra and Victor together too. I think my favourite doll at this moment is Victor. He is so cute when he's a unactivate doll. @ man reaction.

I don't think we've seen enough of Caroline to determine who she'd be good with. However, from what we've seen of Caroline, I thinks she and Paul would butt heads My favorite doll is....none? I like Sierra, but I don't like the DOLLS, however I like the actual characters.

From what we've seen of Caroline, I think she and Paul are pretty compatible with each other.

All right, let me catch up a bit here. My favorite doll? Don't know that I have one. Probably either Echo, since she's the one we know most about--although Victor is definitely more interesting when in the unactive state--or Sierra, as we know so very little about her. But really I don't think one's stood out more than another for me; some just have deeper back stories than others. I can see the Ballard/Caroline ship, but I don't know that I support it at this point. I'm definitely Victor/Sierra. Watched Episode 8 today (since I'll be late in watching tomorrow's episode, too). I definitely agree with what Ben said, although the message Caroline sent does count for something. But I was so hoping Victor and Sierra would make it okay. I was rather upset at Joss with the twist at the end. (It's a stroke of genius, in some aspects, but since it's not what I wanted to happen I of course had to be a bit offended by it. ) I was surprised to find out about Doctor Saunders's (Amy Acker's character--it's possible I can't remember her name correctly) role in the whole scenario, but can't help but wonder if we'll see a more "human" side to her now (as opposed to the Dollhouse-centered side she showed in planning the test).

Some spoilers on the upcoming episodes. It's looking pretty good. ;D Friday, May 1 DOLLHOUSE (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Briar Rose”
Ballard’s investigation leads him to the agoraphobic designer of the Dollhouse (guest star Alan Tudyk); Echo helps a young girl deal with her traumatic past; Adelle goes to the Attic in search of answers; and Alpha reveals himself to set his end game in motion.
Friday, May 8 DOLLHOUSE (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Omega” – Season Finale
Alpha’s reign of terror continues as his obsession with Echo endangers Caroline’s survival; Ballard must make a life-changing decision; and one Doll is permanently deactivated while another’s shocking past is revealed. There are quite a number of conflicting reports on when the finale will air and what's the title of the episodes so I'm quite confuse. But from the synopsis (if it's right), it looks like it's going to be a great last few eps.

Definitely looks like some great episodes coming up. I've been very curious about Alpha and the Attic for quite some time. I can't believe the season's gone by so quickly. Was it a full season, or just trial size, because it really doesn't seem like there have been enough episodes.

It's not a full season. This season only has 13 episodes.

Ah, that explains it. I can't say I was expecting FOX to order a full season for a new show, given what they've done with their new ones in the past. It might help if I paid a bit more attention to these things. I just watched the newest episode "A Spy in the House of Love" yesterday. I had a hard time believing that Dominic was the leak, although I am interested in what interest/stake the NSA has in the Dollhouse. I expected the leak to be either Dr. Saunders or DeWitt. I'm still interested to see if there's a second leak in the house, because I really don't see it being just Dominic. I was surprised, if he really was NSA, that he didn't do a better job of covering his tracks. My thoughts about Mellie were confirmed--that she was made a doll before meeting Agent Ballard. It makes me wonder what step Ballard's going to take next. His he going to follow the tip to look into the why, not the where? I'm starting to get very interested in Echoe's "evolution." I just haven't decided if she'll turn rogue or turn "back" into Caroline.

Fox is now going to air 12 episodes and the 13th will be on the DVD. So Omega will be the series season finale. Haven't seen ep 9 yet. Maybe tonight or tomorrow.

Ep 11. OMG!! What an episode. This is the Joss we all know and love. Loved every minute of it. I can't wait to see how it ends. I knew Keppler (was that his name) was Alpha since I spoilt myself but that reveal was still shocking. My poor Victor!
Surprised that Caroline knows Alpha. Or was that even Caroline. I wasn't sure whether Alpha imprinted Echo with Caroline or someone else that he knows. Would be interesting to see how this plays out.
And I like how the story or Briar Rose was about Alpha and not about Ballard. Very smart.
