I thought you guys should know about a little something I learned while at Dcon this week.
Apparently Joss Whedon is currently working on a comic book series that will be the canon season 8 of Buffy the vampire slayer. It will chronical their stories in Europe, and coincide, timeline-wise, with what we know about season five of Angel. No word yet on when it's going to be out but I would think it will be within this coming year.
So, who's really excited about potentially seeing the Immortal?

  It's just like the show coming back ... without the actors! lol I'm excited. Hopefully I can get my hands on the comic books, though. |

Same here, Beck. I'm not really a comic fan, but this is quite different. I look forward to seeing what Mr. Whedon says they're all up to!

When asked, Nick Brendon said he was really interested in it himself. He said he'd really like to see how Xander ended up, since his role in Buffy's life is needed even less, in his opinion, at that point in time. He would like to see Xander come into his own.

Joss is writting it so it won't be anything less than brillient. Though I think we're in for a long wait, he not known for cracking these things out real quick

yer i hurd about this its ment ot be coming out in like october (uk) well thats what the man at the comic shop said and a website, i cart wait finnaly the missing gap of information we need to really know what happened next.  looks like shes not just been sat on her butt all this time shes looking good (even for a cartoon) |

I don't think thats the best likeness of SMG but they've got the figure right. Maybe its just the way she's looking but the face is all wrong to me

Yeah, the nose and cheekbones bother me a little bit, but no one can be perfect. It looks like promising artwork, though.

i dont think they should make her skinnier she looks better like she looked in seaosn 1 during season 6 and 7 she got too skinnie, the size of her in the drawing looks better then it would if she was even more skinnier

awsome! gotta say I was getting a little excited reading it and I like that time will have passed that we're not just jumping back a couple of years.
