Onions are awesome, whether they're on a burger, or not. Even raw onion can go nicely on one.

What other is there besides raw? That's all I've ever put on my burgers.

Fried? If I have onion on mine, it has to be thin.

I tend to pick out my onions. But if they are those really small, finely chopped ones, I'm able to tolerate them.
What ingredients do you absolutely hate in your burgers?

There's nothing, really. I'm not a big pineapple fan, but will still eat it if it's on the burger.

I haven't eaten a burger with pineapples in it. I'm not a big fan of vegetables so I like my burgers with little or no vegetables in it (though lettuce and cucumbers are ok).

I hate lettuce in my burger, they always give you huge big bits , and I only eat onion when its chopped , I had carrot on a hamburger one time, I love carrots, but when I was given the carots on the hamburger, I was extremly weirded out and had to scrape them off

I don't really like egg on a burger, or beetroot.

Bad Australian! I think they're really good. Do you eat them normally? I really hate it when the lettuce on burgers is really wilted. If it's nice and fresh, great, but a lot of burgers just have crap lettuce.

Well I couldn't believe it that you Aussies put beetroot on your burgers when I went there so I had to try it. I'll pass thanks. I never eat tomotoes on or off a burger. As for the good stuff I'm pretty flexible but I usually want to have some cheese and bacon on there. I also often like pineapple and nobodies mentioned how good sauteed mushrooms are. Now if you want to talk about a great substitute for a burger you have got to go with a pulled pork sandwich where the pork is slow smoked for at least 6 hours. Yum!

Beetroot on a burger? really? that is strange to me . I find lettuce on burgers is always wilted, it takes all the crunch out to . Which is the best part of lettuce, and the whole point of it! . Pork is one of the few meats I dislike!

Beetroot on a burger? really? that is strange to me I've only had it on burgers from a fish and chip shop or something. I wouldn't put it on one at home.

and nobodies mentioned how good sauteed mushrooms are. Thats because they aren't good and no one wants a ruined burger

The beetroot on a burger is an Aussie thing is it?? Mushrooms are filthy. I'm 'officially' 'allergic' to them now

I really don't mind mushrooms. They're definitely not a burger thing, though.

I don't like mushrooms very much and I have never heard of them going on a burger. Odd.

We have heaps of burger places in Brisbane now. My favourite is Grill'd. It's a chain, but I think it's mainly in QLD/VIC.
My brother makes a killer lamb burger with tzatziki. Mmm.

That sounds nice. I like a hamburger to have a lot on it but no onion or BBQ sauce, yuck!

Ask your brother to make me one and send it down, Liz lol.
My perfect hamburger has, lettuce, cucumber, beef pattie, cheese, tomato, bbq sauce (or mayo if it has grilled chicken instead of beef).
