Yeah, I don't count a sub as a sandwich - even though it consist of the same things (bread, ingredients in the middle).

Funny stuff Shaun, I have family from SA. After they moved here it took them ages to switch to "belgium". I'm sure my Cousin still says fritz on rare occasions.
It's called devon here too Beck. All the supermarket tags and labels changed years ago.

According to Wikipedia (I know, I know!):
"Devon is a type of manufactured meat product sold in Australia. It is also referred to as "Polony" in Western Australia, "Luncheon" in Queensland, "Fritz" in South Australia, "Belgium" in Tasmania and "Strasbourg" or "Stras" in Victoria. Devon would be classed as "Luncheon Meat" in the UK. It is similar in appearance and taste to bologna sausage."
Well there you go. I've only seen it called devon in Brisbane though.

Don't like pickles at all! Though I'm starting to tolerate it in my burgers. Don't think I can stand it being in my sandwich.
I find that I usually go for the egg/mayo sandwich or a tuna sandwich whenever I'm buying one. Last one I had was a ham sandwich that my aunt made. There were hard boiled eggs in them and I don't like it.
