That just sounds weird (but then again, people looked funny at me when I said sharksoup ) Japanese isn't the big thing here, it's mostly chinese stuff and indian and all that crazy stuff.. japanese usually means sushi in sweden Shark soup? Oh please, please tell me it isn't some hyperbole for fish, its actually shark right? I like anything Ceaser atm. I know shark fin soup is really made of shark fin. And isn't flake (from the fish and chip shop) really shark?

Yeah, I only heard of shark fin soup and not shark fin.
I liked shark fin soup when I was younger and before I knew the story about shark fin soup. It's very popular with Chinese weddings. Now I don't have them.

What is the story behind it? I've never tried it, I doubt I ever would. I'm a bit iffy on what seafood based foods I will try.

Apparently they remove the fins from the shark, then dump it back in the water Which obviously means the shark can't swim, and so dies.

There's a documentary called SharkWater, done by an Australian guy. You should watch it, it's so sad. It's all about shark finning.

Hmm, I should watch it if only to gain some compassion for sharks. Evil, killing machines that they are.

Anything that comes out of the sea can stay off of my plate :X .
I can't watch any of those documentaries, it is bad enough knowing it is happening without having to witness it to.
