Our forum is eligible for an early forum upgrade (because we're OOOOOOLD). Do you guys want me to go ahead with the upgrade or wait until we have to?
The main annoyance with it will be having to log in with your email address (you will get to set a new password for it) instead of username. I'm not a fan of the appearance of Version 5 either but that will be able to be tweaked. We will lose all our codes, but of course all of this will happen when we are forced to upgrade in april anyways. So.... now or wait?

I have no idea about the PMs but I doubt they disappear, they haven't with any other upgrade.
The email you signed up with will be there but I am pretty sure you have the option to change the email address when you log in for the first time and it asks you to use the new global log in.

Leave it! I'm doing the same on my site. There are a lot of things about v5 I haven't worked out yet and no one is excited about having to reactivate their accounts. A lot of codes won't cross over either.  |

You can actually opt out until the end of the year then it will update automatically.

I did the same with my forum although I am trying for the third time to reopen it. But I hope maybe with the new appeal of V5 that it will work.

Well it is the 29th, if Kax is offline at anytime it likely means we are being upgraded. If your email on the forum isn't current you should change it now, as it will be your log in once upgraded.
