What are people's favourite series' of novels?
Personally, I'm a huge fan of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, and there are a couple of others which are escaping me now.
With the Vampire Chronicles, I love the world that Rice managed to set up, and build upon with each story.

I really like the Pendragon series. I also like the trilogy that started with Uglies, and the trilogy that started with Twilight. All are great reads.

Obviously HP...I also really love Madeleine L'Engle's Austin series. They were written from 1960 - 1982 so now I suppose they're quite dated. When I was younger I loved Nancy Drew, Babysitter's Club and Sweet Valley.

I'm a fan of most of L'Engle's work. And when you look at how interconnected all of her stuff is, it kind of seems like one big universe, not separate series.
I've gotten into the Shenandoah Sisters series about a black and white girl living alone together on a plantation after everyone's been killed and the Civil War's ended. But I only have the first 2 books. So until I go to the library I have to wait and see what happens.

Yes, I love how characters pop up in different books.
I also enjoy reading The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants series. They're a bit corny but they're good fun.
Hey Allan, why have you got an apostrophe in series? It doesn't need one, does it?

Hey Allan, why have you got an apostrophe in series? It doesn't need one, does it? Yeah, it does when you're talking about more than one series. It's plural, since I'm asking which ones people like. I've heard that Wheel of Time is brilliant, and I should check it out at some point.

I love the Fearless series. It's by the writer who wrote the Sweet Valley books (which I was a fan of when younger ). It's a great series as it has all genres. Love, action, drama, comedy... Oh and the Lost Slayers series is also great.

I've heard that Wheel of Time is brilliant, and I should check it out at some point. Interesting! I've only ever seen it just as series. I never have, Beck. What genre are they?

(Okay, again about 'series' - "series" is a word that can be singular or plural. Like species - a species of animals, three species of animals)

My friend Jen got me onto the Anita Blake books. I quite like them. They do have their smutty moments though And it should just be Series. No apostrophe is required.
