Do you like reference books? Is there anything in particular that you like, or do you just like to read them in general?
I enjoy reading them, especially books about pop culture and mythology.

Nah, never read them as I never had the interest in reading them. Reference books = yawn-worthy for me.

Heh, when I think 'reference' books, I think dictionary, encyclopaedia etc. But I know it's a far more reaching genre. I find books on child development interesting, and I always liked looking at the Guiness Book of Records!

Yeah, I can't say I'm a big fan of reading encyclopedias myself. But if it's on a topic that interests me, I definitely enjoy reading them. Even if it's something that just screams "odd" or "different" to me. I almost bought "The History of Cannibalism" yesterday because it was cheap. But I didn't have any money, so that was probably a good thing.

LOL, I bet that would be really interesting though! I have an odd fascination for things like that.

It might have been interesting, though it might also be kind of difficult to stomach. If I have a chance tomorrow or Friday I might still pick it up...

I enjoy some history books but I don't know if I would class them as "reference" books. They are that but I tend to class reference as the dictionary, thesaurus, encyclopedia. Anything else is "Non-fiction"

When I posted, I thought Allan was talking about dictionaries and encyclopedias. Even then, I still don't read any reference books. I'm not a big fan of anything non fiction. ;D

Yeah, I prefer fiction to non-fiction. Though I do find history books on certain topics very interesting.

Anything else is "Non-fiction" Yeah, I get that. I think of anything that I refer to as a "reference" book, though. Maybe it's because I tend to go back and refer to them heaps.
