Welll look at what Shred said. How is Ryley needing to feel wanted by having Vamps suck on him any worse than Buffy wanting to feel something by sleeping with Spike? I guess just because its Spike.

I think its worse because Riley was risking his life doing it, and it was a betrayal to Buffy. Buffy sleeping with Spike was hurting no one but herself and Spike - and he was a willing partner.

Wasnt Buffy sleeping with Spike a betrayel to her friends? I mean he was still doing bad things like hoarding those demon eggs yet she didnt even get angry with him about it.

She didn't know he was hoarding the demon eggs, as far as she knew he was still harmless. It wasn't a betrayal to her friends, Spike was an ally and it was none of their business who she sleeps with. Riley however, was knowingly fraternising with enemies, undermining Buffy's job as the slayer, letting vampires feed on other people the way they were on him, and she was his girlfriend, and in a sense it was like going to a brothel and sleeping with a hooker - since vampires can view feeding as erotic, something Buffy knows full well after Graduation Day.

That's basically what Riley was doing in a nutshell, Beck. But not only was he undermining Buffy's job, he was also undermining his own.
