Jenny's death just showed how ruthless Angelus can be if he wanted to. He is one smart, cunning and evil villian - probably the most smart, cunning and evil villian in TV-land. Not only did he snap Jenny's neck and enjoyed it but also stuck around to see the reactions from Buffy and her friends. And the way he set her up for Giles to find her was absolutely cruel - and smart too. Angelus really knows how to get under the skin of his opponents. I read somewhere (or maybe it was an interview I saw) where Robia LaMorte says that she was offended that Angelus snapped her neck instead of draining her blood.

Lol Shred. I would actually say that is an absolute insult on Angelus' behalf as it is. To kill a human victim and not drain their blood. I mean look at Lilah, she was killed by someone else but he still wanted a taste. It was like Jenny was beneath him the way William was beneath Cecily.

Maybe she was. She did insulted him by trying to restore his sould. Guess he was returning the favour. Jenny's death didn't really affect me that much. I never really liked her to be honest. But I did get all teary-eyed when Giles broke down with Buffy at the end of the episode. That was sad.

The reason it affected me the way it did, is because she was a regular. An integral part of the group, yet Buffy did not save her. She was nowhere around Thats when the show got really serious for me. This character who we used to love is now killing and Buffy might not be there to protect her friends.

The point where Buffy got serious for me was during When She Was Bad, and we saw that Buffy's vulnerable, and able to be messed up by bad situations. But that's off topic.
In regard to Jenny's death, I can see that Angelus not drinking from her was an insult, or at the very least a sign. By not drinking her blood, he's saying to Buffy "I'm not killing her because I want to. I'm killing her to get at you".
I never saw any comments from Robia LaMorte about being offended by the lack of drinking, only that she was disappointed that she couldn't come back as a vampire.

I was actually surprise that he didn't drink her blood. When he vamped out, I was so sure he was do that instead of snapping her neck. Snapping her neck definitely sent a different message and I think it's during that episode when I realised that how evil Angelus was.

I think if he drank her blood, Ii would have come across as more animalistic that ritualistic.
Re Robia, I wasn't thinking that she didn't make the offended comment, I was thinking that she probably made both of them. During her time on Buffy, she really got around the interview circuit.
