I got this idea from another site and it got some interesting responses. What is your dream band? Who would be the lead singer? Backup? Guitarist? Drummer? Bassist? Or anything other instruments? I have a hard time with this so I'll come back to it later. It's a difficult decision.

Great question Bre. Requires some serious thought..... Ed Kowalczyk would obviously be my lead singer. Guess that would leave Bono with the backup gig On drums i'd go with Jimmy Chamberlin. My mate Adam is obsessed with the Smashing Pumpkins and has had me listening to them for many many years and telling me that Chamberlin is the greatest drummer of all time. And yeah, he's amazing. On lead guitar it has to be Hendrix of course. He did things with a guitar that not many others can. If we're going with living people then i'd go with Slash or Jimmy Page. Though Page is getting on a bit and might not be able to rock it too hard I'd be bringing in John Butler for acoustic work because that man amazes me. On bass i'd be having Justin Chancellor from Tool or Adam Clayton from U2. They seem to do a bit more than most bassists. Kirk Pengilly can be on hand for some sax work and Billy Joel can add some piano when required. I'd like some strings but i don't really know any violinists or cellists

That would be one hell of a band, Loz. I'd buy the CD. Vocalist for me would have to be Maynard James Keenan from Tool with some soft vocals from Emiliana Torrini in the background. I think they'd balance each other out nicely. A special mention for John Lennon. He has a hell of a voice. But he's a one man band. Guitarist would be Hendrix for sure. Either he or Clapton depending on which direction this band is going. Bass would be Cliff Burton from Metallica or Paul McCartney, depending on, again, which direction this band is going. For drums I'm thinking Neil Peart from Rush, but I'm kind of iffy on that or maybe Phil Collins. I'd like some string instruments as well, but like Loz I have no idea of any.

I'm thinking too, Beck, and have been for the past couple of days. It really is a tough one.

Oh come on! It's not that difficult. You can have a few choices if it's too hard to decide.

I have been thinking about this thread since it was started. It is really difficult to decide on members for my dream band. At frist i was thinking about having a male and a female on vocals. I already knew who i wanted to be on male vocals, Mark Chavez from Adema. The only problem was that he didn't sound at all good with any female singer. Believe me, i tried everyone i could think of, but nothing sounded right. So instead of a male and a female on vocals, my dream band would have both male vocalists. These lucky two would be Mark Chavez from Adema and Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage. There is a guitar solo in the song Error Operation by Taking Back Sunday which made the guitarist decision extremely easy. I couldn't figure out which guitarist performed the solo in the song, so hell i'm taking both of them lol. So the two guitarists in my dream band would be Eddie Reyes and Fred Mascherino from Taking Back Sunday. Choosing a drummer was pretty hard because alot of the drum beats in different bands sound way to much alike. I had a few drummers in mind but only one kept popping up. The drummer i chose for this crazy ensemble would be Shannon Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars. I wasn't sure if i wanted someone to play the keyboard or not. I think the keys would make the dream band more interesting. If i did have someone on keys, it would be Radley Bell from Chiodos. So, my wicked cool made up dream band would consist of Mark Chavez (lead vocals), Howard Jones (lead vocals), Eddie Reyes (guitar), Fred Mascherino (guitar), Shannon Leto (drums), Radley Bell (keys *maybe*) Rock On!

How sweet would that be!
I think Paul would be a good lead singer for our dream band.
