Do you ever judge (in either a small or big way) people by what kind of music they listen to? I don't really, even though if it's something I really don't like, I'll wonder why they would ever want to listen to it. But other than that, it doesn't affect my view on them.

I don't judge people by the music they listen to. I used to accidentally generalize them according to their music tastes, but I stopped that after I realized it's their own taste and you can't assume anything by what music somebody listens to. I do sometimes wonder how they can stand it, though

I've thought of people as idiots when I hear them going on about a particular artist.

Me too. But I listen to a whole lot of music, some I admit is shit, but catchy, so I am in no place to judge.

I listen to a variety, too. The thing that really bugs me with musical taste is people who listen to something because it's popular. If you like a popular artist (even Britney), it doesn't worry me, as long as you can accept something that isn't topping the charts, too.

I usually take a look at people and try to guess what kind of music they listen to. And usually, I'm right. I don't like how people listen to something just to look cool, you know?

Yeah, well if people listen to certain music just to be cool they deserved to be judged . Music is for everyone, and you should like what you like, not what someone else does. That's true with mostly everything, though.

It's funny for this subject to suddenly pop up because i was just talking about it the other day to a friend. I was just explaining to them that the music you listen to doesn't make you who you are. I do disagree with some of the music some people listen to, but that doesn't affect how i look at them or how i interact with them. Everyone has their own type of music. As much as i don't like country, i don't put my friends down because they listen to it. It's just their preference. I wouldn't want people to judge me because of what i listen to. Why should i judge others?
