So, another challenge, huh? It's my first one, so be kind.
Buffy and the potential Slayers stand atop the Hellmouth battling the ubervamps and the forces of darkness. The situation is dire, if only Willow could use her magic mojo to create full-fledged Slayers... Only she doesn't exist. What happens now?
A Goddess named Jasmine stands to bring about world peace. The only catch is that it's at the price of free will. But first, she must find a vessel to give birth to her. Who could it be? Surely not Cordelia Chase, because she doesn't exist. What happens now?
And this is where you wonderful writers come in, for the new Challenge: Removed From Continuity[/u]. Take a scene or a situation from one of the brilliant TV series', and rewrite the events, should a major player no longer exist. Think along the lines of Connor, after Angel had any memories of his existance removed.
Fandom:[/u] Buffy, Angel, Firefly, or anything else, provided I've seen it. I'll warn you now - I don't watch Grey's Anatomy, Prison Break, or Supernatural, so those are out. But I would like to encourage people to branch outside of the Jossverse if they desire, so just pop me a quick PM.
Setting:[/u] This can be any episode or event from your selected TV series. Please be sure to post the episode/s, or season that it's from in your notes.
Word Limit:[/u] No more than 2,000 words. I'm not looking for novels here!
Special Requirements:[/u] This must be an established event from your selected fandom... without one of the events' major players. Obviously, this will likely effect the outcome of said event. Rating wise, I'm not too fussed, but be sure to include a rating, and if it's R, use the spoiler tags.
Entries:[/u] Because I'm feeling generous, feel free to write up to three of these. Each entry must be from a separate fandom, though.
Prizes:[/u] Bre has graciously agreed to supply a banner set (banner and avatar), as well as a matching award, for first, second and third place, based on the winning entries.
Deadline:[/u]May 17 Extended to May 31, so you have a month to get writing, and post your entry (or, hopefully, entries).
Good luck to everyone, and if you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Also, I'd love to see as many entries as possible, even if you're new to writing fanfic!
