Yeah, I'd see a Buffy movie if it was the original cast. However, I would rather it be after the 7th season since I never really got into the eight season. I would just hope that nothing was screwed up since the show did end really well.

would SMG return to do a movie? she seems to be kind of stroppy about buffy, I saw her on a talkshow here and when she was asked about her time on BTVS, she said she didnt want to talk about it, understandable though, shes prolly sick of answering questions but Buffy put her in the spotlight!.

I thought that too for a long time, Nico. But now when she talks about Buffy, she usually has nothing but good things to say about it. I would hope she would do it.

I always get the impression she's sick of Buffy too, Nico. Whenever I read the interviews with her talking about a potential Buffy movie, she is always saying that Buffy works well as a TV show and the last time Buffy was a movie, it didn't work out well, etc. So I always thought that was her way of saying she doesn't want to do a Buffy movie. But if SMG doesn't take part in the movie and if there is going to be one, I would probably have reservations about it. I would watch it but I'll only watch it to see how much it would suck without SMG in it.

So, the writing and direction doesn't keep you interested, Irene? The impression that I had is that she was sick of the role, but since time's moved on she seems a little more open to the idea. Maybe because she's had a break, or maybe because her roles after Buffy have been...limited.

Maybe he will but something tells me that he wouldn't. But maybe that's just me.

I don't think he'd do one without her, but if he happened to do so, I don't think it would necessarily be bad. Granted, it would be difficult to associate a different actress in the role.

I havent seen her give an interview in a long time, so I dunno what she feels about buffy now. I would find it tough to get used to a different actress playing buffy in the movie, probably because I am used to SMG playing the part.

I don't think I'd be able to watch another actress playing Buffy... it'd be like having someone other than William Shatner play Captain Kirk... ugh...

Well, that's happening - Chris Pine is playing Kirk, so anything's possible.

They call her Michelle?
I don't know. I would love to see the gang back together, but it would have to stay true to the comic books and a lot of the Buffy gang are doing their own projects. I would honestly love it to death, but I don't know how it could work.

I'm undecided whether the movie - if it does happen - should continue with the comic books. :-\

Yeah I wouldn't really want it to, but it would have to, wouldn't it? Otherwise, the whole comic book idea is a waste, ya know?

Though I must say a movie about Buffy as a vengeful mum is interesting. I wonder who would be the father!

They call her "Michelle" instead of "Sarah" ? And honestly, I do not like the idea of Buffy as a mother It doesn't appeal to me for some reason. If that's going to be the plot, I'd actually prefer they don't make the movie... Once, I was very interested too in seeing a new Buffy movie, but as time goes by I'm not so excited about it anymore. What I'd really want to see one day is having the Spike/Buffy/Angel love triangle solved in one way or another, and if any of the two vamps get to become human again. That's the closure that neither BtVS nor AtS gave us.

I have to agree that the idea of Buffy as a mother doesn't appeal to me, either. It sounds like they're trying to make it a one-shot, appeal-to-the-fans, stand alone movie, and not worry too much about consistency between the various mediums Buffy's appeared in, and with all the episodes, comics, and writing that's been done on the Buffyverse, I can't see a movie like that actually fulfilling fans' desires. But maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Joss has come out to respond to the rumours of a Buffy movie.
"Not gonna happen," Whedon told reporters in Hollywood on Wednesday. "Not gonna happen. Until I gather the press and make a public announcement myself that it’s going to happen, never believe anything."
That's good enough for me.

Well it sounds like it's happening ... even if Joss isn't involved ...
From IMDb
I don't like that idea one bit..
