I just read issue #28 The Retreat Pt 3. It was a pretty good issue. It was formatted like the season 7 episode Storyteller when Andrew is recording everything. One crazy thing that happened: Dawn and Xander kissing. Pretty much predictable since earlier this season, but it's still pretty weird. Anyone else reading any of the newer issues? Or any of the comic issues?

I lost interest in season 8. But after reading your spoiler Bre, I wanna read them now! I might catch up on them during the summer when I'm home and don't have work/school on my brain.

You should definitely catch up! Even just reading one once a month or so (like I do. I have them each pre-ordered automatically). It's obviously not as good as the TV show, and some characters are changed from the show, but it's still Buffy and it's still pretty good!

I heard there isn't many issues left before the season ends? Are you still reading them, Bre?

No. The subscription was canceled and I haven't been to the comic book shop in a long time, so I'm pretty far behind now.

Thanks! Maybe I'll have a look. I really like the comic books though. The illustrations are pretty great and they throw in fun little things in the background.

I've been looking through the comics and spoilers online to catch myself up and I now know who Twilight is - and I'm shock! I must now go and really read them to make sure it makes sense because right now it definitely doesn't! EDIT: There's going to be a season 9. Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans worried what they’ll do when Joss Whedon wraps up Season Eight – the hit Dark Horse comic series continuation of the late TV show – can breathe a sigh of relief. Today at WonderCon, the publisher confirmed that there will be indeed be a Season Nine, which will debut six months after Season Eight concludes. More details after the jump.
Previously, Dark Horse had announced it hoped to do a Season Nine, but now the publisher explained that not only will it definitely happen, but, unlike that of Season Eight, its story won’t take three years to tell.
"We’re going to be taking a shorter approach to it," Dark Horse’s Jeremy Atkins told me, "With Season Eight, we didn’t know how long it was gonna take to tell the story Joss wanted to tell. But we think that for this next time around it’s gonna be a little tighter, a little more concise."
Dark Horse has not yet announced any writers, but their intent is to have popular Season Eight artist Georges Jeanty continue as the principal illustrator of Season Nine.

I managed to avoid all spoilers, thankfully(!), so when I read the comic two days ago, and reading the reveal of Twilight's true identity I was more than a little OMGWTFBBQ!! I gotta say I'm horribly confused by this! BIG YEAY on the renewal for another season! *bounces*

I am still trying to find the momentum to read season 8 . I doubt I ever will though, so at the end of the season someone can compile a huge list of spoilers and I will read that instead . Apple trees can grow up to 40 feet high; though many orchards have dwarf trees for easier picking.

Ohp! You'll have to buy them for $2. They didn't have them in S'pore so I had to rely on the the net. But I haven't really checked out whether they have it in NZ though. We have a comic book store so I must check it out if they have them there one of these days. I'll probably go and get the paperbacks if they do.

I saw this at Wal*Mart yesterday and wondered how I hadn't heard about it. Apparently the voices kind of suck, but I'll probably still get it even though I've read the comics.

I don't think they are. I think it's only the first 20 or so. Lame.

And they don't mention it on the DVD that it's not the complete season. A lot of people are going to assume that it is.

So the Buffy movie/Buffy season 8 motion comic BR combo pack was released a few days ago. Anyone know if it contains all issues of season 8? I'll get it if it does.
