I seriously hope these news are true. Whedon.info is known for their bullshit stories. So until someone finds another source, I will let this one be 'plausable' but not 'true'.. I've seen it on more reliable sources that were reporting from San Diego. I'll try to find a link and post it here. That sounds better. I'll be looking for those links Thanx Allan! I never trust whedon.info. They've served up too much news that has been untrue that they are anything BUT reliable..

I've never been lead astray by Whedon.info If they hear a rumor, they post it, and if they find out it's not true they post that. If they decide to put Oz in, I can wait a few years for that. I'm not too excited. Joss should start introducing new characters instead of bringing back every old one.

Oz was intended to be in the tv version of Angel season 6 so why not let him be in the comic version of Angel instead of Btvs.

I've never been lead astray by Whedon.info If they hear a rumor, they post it, and if they find out it's not true they post that. On countless occasions when Buffy was to end and when Angel was cancelled they reported that the shows had been saved by this or that network. (done so without sources to back them up in ANY way.. so basically they made the whole thing up. set the fans up for a major fall over and over) They've done this to many other news as well, this is just what stuck by me. Not to mention they're thieves (the artist in me holds a grudge!) of both art, exclusive material and news that they claim are their own and not giving out the sources.,. I could go on and on about their stupidity.. but I have a headache.. I agree Glenn. I remember that talk that he was supposed to show up and help Nina with her werewolf issue, right? I was so happy when I heard that and then the show got cancelled.. go figure.

Oz was intended to be in the tv version of Angel season 6 so why not let him be in the comic version of Angel instead of Btvs. I'd class that as a licensing issue since Buffy and Angel comics are licensed to two different companies. Oz was considered a Buffy character, so he'd fall under Dark Horse. That said, both companies seem to be fairly laid back with it, so it wouldn't be that hard to do. But Joss isn't writing Angel: After the Fall, though.

Of course I don't take their word as news craved in stone but I don't do that for all the other sources. I agree. In just 4 issues, they brought back too many old characters. For a new season, there should be new characters in my opinion.

I dunno... Season 9? Joss has kind of pulled out a half-ass season 8 so far. Personally I'd rather Joss release a graphic novel of Buffy (much like Sin City or Sandman) rather then all these small issues that seem less Buffy then we're use to. Both Sandman and Sin City were originally written and released as individual issues. And they're releasing trade paperbacks of Buffy, by story arc. Exactly what they did with those two series'.[/quote] I still think Buffy should be released in more of the style (Art style) as Sandman or Sin City, more unique then it is. Cause it just dosn't feel as stylized as the TV series did.

I don't think the TV series was overly stylised. The art manages to capture the "real life" aspect of the filmed TV show, IMO.

The latest episode of Wizard magazine features an interview with Joss. In it, he mentions that (at this stage) season 8 will wrap up at #40, before they move to season 9. So they're definitely in this for the long haul.
