Note: OK, hopefully this goes without saying, but this is, of course, not an accurate commentary of the current state of KAX, supposed to insult or hurt anyone, etc. It was simply what I could come up with in the amount of time I had. Thanks to Allan for looking over it. (Oh, and it's very short--under 500 words.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had been a quiet day long, long ago in Kaxia. Angie had been extolling the Queen’s praises, when suddenly Kate, the second in command, came rushing into the room.
“War!” she cried, foregoing all formality.
Indeed, war had been threatening the quiet kingdom for some time. And now, the House of Apples and the House of Oranges had made good on the threat. Within hours, the Kaxians had chosen their sides and the grounds around the castle had become scarred with battle.
The Queen and her advisors wasted no time in sending guards into the foray in an effort to end the war peacefully but sadly, it was to no avail. Nico, an ardent supporter of the House of Apples and ever the temptress, had simply sweet-talked each guard in turn, returning them to the castle with no memory of their mission.
The House of Apples was certainly striving to make Nico proud. Lexie was skillfully holding off her attackers with a custom-made light saber. Kana and Ryley were engaged in hand-to-hand combat, their only weapons what could be found around them. Skitty, head of the Pirate Division, had taken the battle to the water. Amber and Irene, the kingdom’s prized historians, had returned to the castle, at this point the only safe place, to record the events for posterity. Marie, still operating under the out-dated notion that music soothes the savage soul, fled once she realized nothing would soothe the House of Oranges. Liz and Lex, meanwhile, were struggling to care for the dozens of wounded.
Meanwhile, the House of Oranges was doing its part to ensure the fight wouldn’t be in vain. Glenn had engaged Alissa in a rather heated argument and the two were now oblivious to the scene around them. Loz, Paul, and Sammy had gone to fend off Skitty and her pirates. Tash and Brittany were fighting Kana and Ryley while Bre had resorted to the schoolyard principle of hurling insults and taunting her enemies. Nina and Shaun, like their Apple counterparts, were busy caring for the wounded, new fatalities arriving every minute.
It wasn’t until a few days later when the Queen, her second in command, and panel of advisors had thought of a plan they were sure wouldn’t fail. They sent Allan, the quickest talker in the kingdom, out to the battlefield to do nothing more than simply confuse the Houses with his fast mouth. He went out and, talking about trees or some such nonsense, was slowly able to stop each person where they were, their interest now on trying to decipher what he was saying. Once Allan had contained the violence, the Queen went out, finally able to make peace between the two houses, and the land returned to its former prosperity.
