I really like Megan McCafferty's Jessica Darling series, and I'm looking forward to her next book.

I loved all of Rick Riordan's books. Will be seeing if I can get hold of any other series he did other than Percy Jackson.

My favourite author is probably still Stephen King. I find his books re-readable unlike most authors.

They are fantasy books. My favorite book by her is about this author that finds out that the world she is creating in her novels are real. She ends up getting stuck in her own novels. It's so freakin' good. It's called Demon in my View. She ends up falling for one of her own characters.

I love a lot of authors but one that comes to mind for recommendation is Guy Gavrial Kay. It sometimes takes a bit to get in to his books but by the time your done it's like "wow, that was amazing!". I'd suggest starting with his 2 part series The Sarantine Mosaic followed by a linked book The Last Light of the Sun or his 3 part series The Fionavar Tapestry.
