What type of books do people read? I left off an option for "more than one" because I was interested in which books people like best. I read a wide mix of book genres though my favourite would probably be adventure style books like Clive Cusslers or Jack Higgens. I also love Horror (though not too much gory style horror books, I've gone off people like Stephen King and Dean Koontz a bit), Supernatural books like Anne Rice's (which are classed as horror I think) and I love crime thrillers too. I'm not a big fan of romance or fantasy novels though.

I love adventure thrillers like Clive Cussler, Dan Brown and Russell Andrews. Also love every single thing Steve Waugh has ever written I'm also a fan of real life crime books like Mindhunter and True crimes. I also like biographies and autobiographies about sportspeople, politicians, musicians, actors etc.

Josh has all these creepy space fantasy weird books lol Lol Bernie has those too. He tries getting me to read some of them but eh... I did start to read part of the first Wheel of Time book (the best ever series written according to Bernie BAH) but I couldn't get past about 10 pages.

Bernie has those too. I've read a couple of fantasy books and eh... not for me. I don't even like the LoTR books, they're so badly written even though the story is superb

I voted for adventure/thriller. I usually like suspenseful books. Horror books are okay, but I just like watching horror movies better . I like a book that can keep me on the edge of my seat. A good adventure/thriller does that.

I tend to read mostly crime novels, with Elmore Leonard being one of my favourite authors in the genre. I also read a bit of fantasy and adventure. But I'll happily read just about any genre, should I be interested enough in the book. As for Loz's question of about a year back about whether we've been turned off over genres because of one bad book, I haven't. I'd be more inclined to be turned off the author - even if I'd really enjoyed everything else they'd written.

I usually lean towards crime novels or adventure/thriller books. And I don't mind the occassional romance novel.
My least favourite genre is fantasy. And come to think of it, I haven't read a horror book.

You've never read a horror book Irene? I love horror books, which is surprising since I hate horror movies But to be fair its the gore that turns me off the movies, I find the books great - in particular Stephan King and Dean Koontz. Though I haven't read any of either of their newer books, just their old ones. I don't read a lot of fantasy books because the ones I have read are either far too complicated and spend too long having to explain everything or they are long winded (like LOTR )
