My least favourite genre is fantasy. And come to think of it, I haven't read a horror book. Is there any reason you're not a fan of fantasy, Irene? You like fantasy movies, don't you? Nah, I don't like fantasy movies either. ;D You've never read a horror book Irene? I'm not a big fan of horror movies though I don't mind them. I always think it's always better to watch a horror genre than to read it.

Movies are better with gore, but books can allow for something far more psychological and frightening.

I might try reading a horror book to see if it would change my mind if I weren't such a wimp.

I prefer horror or fantasy books, but I don't read often anymore. Books can get across horror better than movies in some cases, especially since so many horror movies are badly made.

I don't think I have, either, Beck.
I picked "other," because I read books that tend to be a mix of genres or historically set. I'm also very into classics, and it's hard for me to speak of them in terms of any other genre. They're just "classic" to me. So, even if I had been able to pick only one of those genres, it wouldn't have been on the list.
I could have picked "fantasy," come to think of it, as Alan Dean Foster is one of my favorite authors of all time.

Don't think my preference have changed since my last post. Though I find that I read more chick lit now.

I think the only thing from this poll that I don't read is Comedy. And I haven't read any autobiographies, I can't think of anyone I want to read about.

Been reading a lot of dystopia books lately so adding that to my favourite genre. Always liked them since I read the Uglies series but it was only lately that I've been reading a lot of it and I have new found love for it. Still don't like reading fantasy or horror genres. ;D

Fantasy/Scifi are my preferred genre. I use reading as an escape into another world and I think with both of those genres the sky is the limit and the author really needs an imagination to make what is happening seem remotely plausible .
