sandman thats an excellent series of books bre, you might want to try the preacher series too also excellent Yeah, Preacher is also great. Though, it's a little more offensive than Sandman. I'd also recommend Y: The Last Man. It's written by Brian K Vaughan who created Runaways and is writing the next arc of the Buffy comic. And if that's not enough to convince Bre, he's also a writer on Lost.

I think I ordered "Y" actually. I don't remember for sure, but I think I did. If not, there are a lot at Barnes & Noble that I'm sure I could look through.

It is definitely worth reading. It's a story about a plague killing all the males on the Earth - aside from this guy and his monkey.

Is that supposed to be some kind of metaphor. I'll definitely check it out sometime if I didn't order it.

No metaphor, there, Bre. The guy has a helper monkey, which inexplicably survived with him.

I ordered the second volume of Sandman. The first issue was awesome, so I ordered the second one right after reading it. Plus TFAW is having free shipping AGAIN! So I had to take advantage.

That's what I've been told. It must be really awesome, though, because volume one got me hooked right away.

It's an amazing read, it really is. I'm not sure how much you want to spend on Sandman books, but they've released Absolute Sandman volume 1, with volume 2 out in October. I haven't gotten volume 1, but I have some of DC's "Absolute" books, and they are amazing pieces of work. But they don't come cheaply, though. I would also recommend you checking out Death: The High Cost of Living and Death: The Time of Your Life, featuring Death from the Sandman books. They're great reads, too. Very different to Sandman, but still excelent.

Yeah $99 is too expensive for me. I might spend more than that purchasing $20 separate volumes, but it'll be easier.
I'll have to check out Death. She was pretty interesting in vol. 1 and it'd be interesting to see how she works. Thanks for that!

I think in the long run, the Absolutes would cost more. At approximately 10 issues out of 75, it looks like eight volumes, so $800 (which is why I didn't go for them ). The Death ones are well worth it. They're a lot more "street level" and personal stories. Those two are among my favourite comics, period.

I'm buying (well, I gave my mom the money and she's going to go get it) The A-List: Girls on Film today. It's the second novel in the A-List series.

Oooo speaking of Buffy books, did you guys here about that new Buffy book coming out. It's the sequel to 'The Chosen' novel by Nancy Holder. It's called 'Dark Congress' and this time, it's being written by Christopher Golden.
