Ooh, cool. I don't think I've seen the Chosen being sold here...what's it about?

It's season 8 of Buffy. It takes place on the bus ride right after the destruction of Sunnydale. It wasn't that good, but i would definitely check it out. Some of the ideas in the book were actually interesting for season 8. And even if you don't like it, i'm sure Christopher Golden will do an excellent job on the sequel. He's such a good author.

Tolkien's Children of Hurin. Haven't read it yet. But I'm excited to! has anyone read this yet? if you give it a good rating, I will get it for hubby on fathers day (he's been hinting) last book I got was The Ring, at the airport 2.5 years ago - still haven't read it.

Amazon gives it 4/5 stars, that's a pretty good indication.
I got Born To Be Riled - By Jeremy Clarkson (Top Gear guy). It's for my dad for father's day.

I bought Sandman volume 3 today, along with a $4 GIANT sudoku book and a $5 John Lennon biography. And I got a free philosophy textbook that looks very awesome.

Last week I bought the Heroes hardcover, which collects the online comics that were published online during the first season and features art by Tim Sale, who provides the paintings in the series. I haven't even looked at it yet, but I was chatting to a mate who picked it up, and says that if you're a Heroes fan, it's amazing.
And today I bought Buffy: Panel to Panel, which is a reference book and gallery from Buffy's comic history - it's a chunky book and reasonable cheap; and after having a quick flip through it, it looks like it'll be quite interesting.

Can you read anything not comics Allan?

I can, thank you very much. Comics are quick and easy for when I don't have much time, though, so a lot of my "bigger" reading is reference type books. That said, give me something by Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk or Elmore Leonard and I'll lap them up.
