I thought it summed it up perfectly and was well written and worth sharing

While I'm no fan of Twilight, I think it's becoming somewhat over-criticized. There are plenty of books out there that are much worse than Twilight.
I agree that writing-wise there are many flaws. The characters are weak and unsympathetic. But it does function as a form of entertainment, and as long as people are entertained, I don't understand the point of criticizing the actual literature of the book.

lol! There are some great twilight bits going about, I got this from my cousin on facebook:
TYPE YOUR NAME: Meghan TYPE YOUR NAME WITH YOUR ELBOW: kmew3gtfghasqwnhj TYPE YOUR NAME WITH YOUR EYES SHUT: Meghan TYPE YOUR NAME WITH YOUR CHIN: n mfdgfxs n SMASH YOUR FACE INTO THE KEYBOARD REPEATEDLY: About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him - and I didn't know how potent that part might be - that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

It is over criticized because it is over-loved and extremely poor writing. The story itself sucks too, gives such a bad message to young girls on what is healthy in a relationship and life in general. It deserves every piece of criticism it gets. So does any other book as badly written, and were those as popular they'd likely get it too. I don't mind that some people find it entertaining, each to their own, but I definitely wouldn't call it literature

Nah it's definitely literature. Something doesn't have to be "good" to be lit. It's just bad literature.

I feel like Twilight giving out a bad message is not really true because nobody really sees Bella as an actual role-model whose every action should be mimicked... But please correct me if I'm wrong.

Considering the amount of Twi-hards (not the ones that like the books, I mean the obsessive fans) I'd say yes some girls see Bella and Edward as role models.
